I love my Quartersnacks Dunks so much, but I refuse to skate them. I almost permanently fucked my ankle in a pair of Wiegers back in 07, so I'm keeping these dopeboy fresh as a personal trophy.

I'm going to finally skate my aluminum/aqua Silas 1 because yet are basically the Dunk with a few practical tweaks. Really wish I got a few more pairs on clearance. Silas has the worst luck with shoe sales/trends. Those shoes today would be the gold standard for tech cupsoles.

picked up the koston mid's at cowtown today. Man i remember my very first LSD trip 3-4 years ago i fucking SHOWED YALL pictures that had the koston mids next to the low's in some unused promo pic in the OG shoe thread and everybody was looking at me like I was crazy. Hell yeah, I wore my bait x asics gel lyte III to work today, they're so god damn comfy. Definitely a godsend for sore feet post session.

yup great shoe, still have a pair in that colourway that i rock regularly. perfect balance of tech/ boardfeel and the synthetic upper is super strong/ doesn't lose it's shape. speaking of synthetic uppers, anyone got a pair of  these yet? FWOAR!!! amazing

Are they worth the 90 dollars?  I have a pair of blazers but I kinda want to hold onto em for now.  Bulkier or thinner than the blazers?

they've got that squishy cupsole feel to them but they are on the thinner side in that regard. I never actually got around to skating the original koston 1s so its a new experience for me but they feel good & look clean. they are kinda blazer-esque in the terms of the overall silhouette & look of the shoe. I remember hearing people mention that the ventilation could be better and I can say that in comparison to the many other shoes i wear, they are kind of hot. I'm still psyched to skate them tho and I'm sure eventually ill post some picture of them all skated & worn down and say this that & the third about them

Yeah, the ventilation on the Ones was awful. The sole and shape was good though. I like the look of the mids even more. They need to just put a few holes in the toe of shoe so it breathes...

If Kostons had a G6/BA vent system, they would have been some of the greatest skate shoes ever. Instead, like the Crockett Pro, they feel like garbage bag saunas after an hour and are beyond unwearable for me. The mids have a seam in the arch that the lows don't, so they could have easily included it this time.


I remember the mid-controversy a few years back. That looked like a shitty advertisement edit but I guess they actually were sitting on the design the whole time. I wonder what else they're going to pull out this season.

I liked my Koston 1's.  Good boardfeel, awesome shape, very comfortable.  But the grip wears down really fast on those shoes, and the tread makes your feet slip around

yeah, I have that same shoes, they were the Eldridge colourway, it was black and grey, but I painted all black, so they exactly like those, they really good to skate in, cant understand why Adidas discontinued them...

I have them on rotation with a pair of the Vans Crocketts, and to be honest, I think the Ronan have a little bit better boardfeel...they are definitely more comfortable.
