Don't think those are skate Converse Cons. Never seen that color before.

I also never seen them with a pull-heel tab.

Does it have a Lobster on the tongue label?
nah, no lobster. Guess they're the non skate ones. The sole has no felt and is super grippy, and the upper is this weird synthetic suede, and there's a bit of padding around the ankle area too, so I'm guessing these will be alright to skate.

I hate that felt stuff.  Using a sander works well to take it off.

When an individual is curious about whether or not a pair of CONS is the skate ones or not, im pretty sure you can lift out the sole and check if its lunarlon.

Also the tongue will say Converse CONS on it, not Converse All-Star

Nothing special, but a damn nice vulc skate shoe - Lakai Manchester Select. The fit is close to the foot (not as snug as the Howard), the vulc sole is super grip, and the heel lock is outstanding. I was also surprised by how comfortable they were. Again nothing mind blowing, just a really nice, no frills skate shoe. We'll see how the durability goes.

Anyone know what kinda Cons these are?
I was at Ross earlier with a friend and found these being sold for cheap, so I decided to swoop up on them.
Not sure if these are the skate ones or just the normal ones, but it's not canvas, it's this faux suede type material that feels like it'd be pretty durable, and the outsole is grippy and doesn't have that felt material on it like the OG non skate Chucks do.
I might just run over the white lines on the sole with a black sharpie too, I feel like it might look better.

On a serious note though, I just ripped the insoles out and put some lunarlon ones I had from an old pair of Cons and now they feel amazing. They feel exactly like the Vol 4 Cons I had before. With the suede upper and the non-felt bottoms they might as well be Skate Cons.
Surprised how much more flexible and light they are just from taking out the old insoles.
Also, surprised at how easy it was to take out the insoles, there's actually like two layers of insole on each shoe but they both ripped out fairly easily. Had some chunks of foam on the second shoe stuck on, but I scraped most of it off with a blade. Still some left, but not enough to effect anything.
And if they look like clown shoes then so be it. I like the way they look. Guess I might as well put trucks onto a surf board and change my name to Simon then, eh? Hah.
I bought these just to skate in, so they're gonna be thrashed up in a couple weeks time regardless, so it doesn't matter too much to me. As long as they're close to all black or all navy and they aren't some bright colored Ice Cream looking shit then ill happily rock them.

Probably no chance of this, but does anyone know of any shops that still have the black Huf dylan.?  I'm looking for a size 11.  I was holding out hope, but I guess my local shop never got their order.  Figured it might be worth a shot?  Will there be a reissue of them?  Or do I just have to wait for the black leather/crocodile print ones to come out?

Just wait for the Crocs. The first runs had a few manufacturing things to work through anyways.

I was planning on using them as dress/work shoes, so the issues might not be a big deal.  But what are they?

Is $145 the standard price?  I thought they were going for $120.

Can you fit a 10.5 or you need 11?

Probably need an 11.  I have a pair of the Hufnagel pro in 11 and I couldn't imagine wearing those in a 10.5, so if the dylan. is as narrow as it looks/people say, I won't last in a 10.5.

I skate both pairs.
This has me cracking up, what exactly does Black Flag have to do with measuring your dick starting behind ya nuts?

Skateboarding is nothing but a game to find the right fits to appear like you're a proportional human being instead of a midget or a giant.

Thanks Chillout. And I couldn't agree more, I would be all over a pair(s) of XLK Manchester. The XLK sole is my favorite from ANY shoe manu.

Yeah, Habitat shoes were really underrated. I still have a few pair new in the box I am sitting on. The Guru Hi, Guru Vulc, and Mesa were my go-to to skate in from their line.

XLK Manchester is one of the best shoes ever. Have a pair that I found in a box recently, may skate in them sooner than later.

Anyone skate the Busenitz ADV? I just got mine in the mail for $45 shipped, the OG Black/Gold color.
I have about a centimeter between the tip of my big toe and where the sole starts in the front, does everybody's fit like this? Or could i possibly fit in the smaller size?

They are 9.5's and i wear a 9 in vans pro's.  I figured vans runs big and cupsoles run small so i shoulda been ok with the 9.5...

Just started skating a pair today.Mine do not feel like that. I normally get a little small and let them stretch a little. kinda uncomfortable for a day or two but after that they are perfect. I wear 9.5 in all vans and i got a 9.5 in the busenitz's.

I had the same problem, i wore mine around for awhile, im a 9.5 in pretty much every shoe ever, including past adidas, but i ended up giving my advs away because my toes got crushed the couple times i tried to skate in them. Would try them again in a 10 though.
