How are these? Do they feel like vulcs?
I think they feel like a cup, but it's fairly thin for a cup. I've mostly been skating thrift store vulcs for the last six months, shoes like chucks or authentics that are already kinda beat, so new shoes that don't feel like I'm wearing moccasins are amazing, and they work great. The laced aren't as grippy as a waffle sole, but they grip well, feel solid, and still have enough boardfeel. The Emerica laced is my favorite shoe, and it's a big improvement over the older ones. The sole is way better and they stitched the pieces around the ollie area together from the inside, so one panel is not raised up over the other. The straps that hold the tongue down are bigger, slightly tighter, and made out of a better material than some elastic that blows out after a while.
I also got these for $36 shipped on 6pm.com so that was cool.
I also found a pair of the black and gold Herman G6s at Ross for $24, which was an awesome come-up. Those have more cushion in the sole than the laced, like it has a slight amount of give because of the foam in the sole, but it's harder to feel my board. The Hermans also have some padding but the laced are perfectly fine without it. If the board hits my foot hard, it's going to hurt either way.
I wish the black and gum ones were on sale for a similar price, and I wonder what the figgy shoe is going to be like in comparison.

Got these at a thrift store for $Free.99, and the slight heel really helps with my chronic back pain. They don't make me look like as much of an asshole as I thought they would.
