Good looks, Sports. How did you get the hook up on wear testing NB#? Would love to be a part of something like that. Really like those tan Stratford. The Logan hold up the best, IMO. For the price, I think the Stratford break down and lose their shape way too fast. Hopefully the quality is better since leaving Black Box.

I have skated and worn many pair of NB#. Multiples of every shoe they've made.

That is what I was told for 2015. Better quarlity materials seeing as it's a pro shoe now.

Good rotation, Sports.   ;D

How did you get the hook up on wear testing NB#?
I have a friend who works at the NB headquarters who was able to help out. You can also try and do it through this site:
 http://weartest.newbalance.com/Apply/Index.asp?Reference=GettingStarted&~=
I was told numeric is looking for more wear testers, but I have no idea how accurate that is. worth a shot at least.

Good rotation, Sports.   ;D

This past weekend I decided to dig these Lakai Marc out and give them another skate. I definitely didn't spend enough time in these the first time around. Phenomenal skate shoe. Great fit, great looks, great skate. Lakai killed it with this shoe and it's a shame they're discontinued.

Yea. These came out a while ago but they've been floating around on Asian online stores so I had a homie who lives out there hook me up on the low.

-Lakai Carroll X Thrasher-

I had a pair of those. I remember the tape on the front is some weird material that left crazy white marks on the grip tape and it started to peel of real quick. Other than that, I remember liking them.

I have the tan ones, skated them like five times. Now they just chill in my closet. I was using the insoles that came with them for all my shoes for a while after that tho. Maybe have to give these another shot, too.

Definitely give them another shot. You'll be psyched. I actually can't figure out why I moved on from them so quick.

Did any of you guys tried the revamped version of the Marc with the griffin sole? I'm curious about it

Those free things really look like shit. Awful.

They do look horrible as hell.

However, my Nike Frees that I use to work out in are comfy as fuck and the size 10 fits like a glove, much like the DC Mike Mo.

If these fit like those do but have SB durability I'd skate'em, ugly or not. But NOT at $100.  Hell, I still feel guilty dropping over $50 on shoes I know I'm going to destroy.

I've been skating a pair for about a month and a half and now, and for me, they've been really durable. I don't do a ton of flip tricks though. The soles are holding up better than anything else I've skated recently with one caveat - have some gorilla glue handy, one of the rubber segments of the sole started to peel up off of whatever that base outsole material is. Once I stuck a bit of glue under them they've stayed put since, but still kind of a bummer. Dunno if anyone else has had similar issues.

So I went to the adidas outlet store and they had these on sale also an all black pair but it was a half size too big for $40. Nakel Smith has been tripping about the his and I've heard a lot of request to make this a skate shoe. Honestly one of the most comfortable shoes I have ever tried on. Adidas needs to do it.

Bought these Emerica Romero Laced on Friday at the shop. Really isn't the type of shoe I'd typically buy to skate in, but I went in with an open mind to try something new. Only one session on them and I dig them so far. Holy shit are they minimal! You can feel everything. REALLY low profile. I do wonder about the durability though...I only have one afternoon on them and they are losing their shape a little bit. But yeah, so far so good.

EDIT: For those that have tried this and the Figgy, which is lower or are they about the same? I think if the Figgy was just a little more beefy I may prefer that shoe. They look pretty close though.

@Heritage: i was reading your whole thing and got sceptical when you wrote between THIS and the FIGGY cause i just got the figgy shoe in the exact same colorway!!!

to get to your point: i'm wearing the figgy around the house so far and skating the leo laceds, that you have here at the moment- my first pair of these (i had like 9 pairs back to back on the regular laceds and romero colors too!!!). the new laceds seem a little lower on the sole in the front of the shoe, making them even more minimal. for me the fit is great, but if you compare the figgy shoe, they are a little beefed up sole wise in the front- just a slight bit higher of the sole- not much, only a bit! laceds always lasted me a good month or more, so my guess is the figgy lasting as good or even better, just telling from the way they feel and fit- such similar shoes and still so different to me! figgy is narrower to the foot and this inner shoe thing feels promising.

well, hope that answers some questions you never asked(mostly, i guess)! i gotta go to bed!

Thanks Chill, I appreciate the info for sure. My local didn't have the Figgy in stock so I didn't have the chance to compare them side by side.

The Figgy feels a little bit thicker on the sides, but about the same in the sole.

I am skating those, along with the Black and White ones regularly. I saw the Fall 2015 line, and the Sutters are going to be great, along with the ones coming out in a week or so.
