Skated the Lynx already, these feel the same in the toe area. But i'm not the best in sizing on shoes and feet.

Give me a size 9 in any brand and they'll fit me fine. I will make it work. No complaints.

They look wider than the lynx. Shit the lynx took me a week to break in they were so narrow.

Really? I'm talking about the mid-sole back area. I have some Puigs that I may never skate due to them being too narrow. I thought the Lynx were widish?!?

Always thought DC usually ran 1/2 a size small too. Fuck knows. My feet are weird looking things.

I still wear my usual size 10 in the lynx's but they do fit kinda tight compared to all my other shoes. Its not uncomfortable for me at all, but its noticeable. if you're one of those people with wide feet or whatever I'd prolly go half a size up. they skate great tho. Now that I've skated them for a while id give them a solid 8 outta 10. to me this one of the best mid-level cupsoles and if you get them on sale its a steal.

been wearing the frees and skated in them a couple times but Im having very mixed feelings about them. on one hand, I love the overall feel of the shoe & how flexible the sole is. for ledges & tech skating they feel excellent. HOWEVER the lack of any type of heel lock in its construction makes me not wanna fuck with this shoe down even mild impacts or anything where I'm gonna be landing uneven if i hop off my board. i jumped down a gap in these shits and the back of foot was rolling all over sole and into the sidewalls and while I haven't hurt myself that shit just looks like an bad accident waiting to happen. the sole itself is actually more supportive than I thought it would be and of course they're super comfortable & lightweight but nah, Im not willing to do anything more than ledges, flat, etc. in these things, despite how good they actually feel. I got them for $80 shipped which I felt is a fair price but $115 is fucked up. If they replaced the phylon midsole with lunarlon , reinforced the suede on the upper and put in some type of heel containment in the back then that full retail price looks a little more fair, but as of right now IMO these things should be in the $70-$80 price range and no higher. Like I said, they feel great and skate well but that heel lock is a major flaw for someone like me and the thin panelling (you can tell they were tryna make this shoe as light as possible) probably won't last all that long if you really go ham with the flip tricks. I will continue to skate them but only for very specific spots.

I'm a Lynx fan but those frees... The design reminds me of some kind of bad office carpet. The diamonds look awful to me.

Skated these for a week or so.

2 heelbruises and two rolled ankles froms skating flat and ledges. Didn't roll an ankle in 5 years.

Anyone recommend a low top shoe with good ankle support?

Cons Weapons. They lock in your ankles very well.

Just picked up these because I wanted to try something new ... first impressions are really good ... really comfortable, the cupsole is really flexible, and the quality is as good as any of the Adidas/Nike/eS/Vans I've had in the past year.  Also the sock liner and inner leather upper make the fit feel so nice.

hasn't it occurred to anyone that what shows up at your local ross/marshalls/tj maxx is a direct reflection of the number of skateshops (mom and pop + mall stores) around...and the product they couldn't move for whatever reason?? i'd figure a ross in socal would be a goldmine while a ross in nebraska might be a little more limited.

Truth, the new Ross they built in Indiana sucks. But I did find a pair of those old Converse Sea Star Mids, had to get em 25 bucks! They also had some DC's, maybe a pair of G6's. You just gotta check every few weeks for the re-stocks.

Got these at Ross for 26 bucks.
I had some Landau's not too long ago and they skated great. I'm expecting these to skate really well.

you can't just go to Ross one day, find nothing and then say it sucks.  it doesn't work like that.  go once a week for a month if you think you can't find stuff.  you're bound to get something cool.

I still haven't got to skate them yet due to work and rain but they feel as good or better than anything else I've worn in a while.  I'll post an update once I get a solid day in them.  The only thing I wish they had more of was arch support but I can't really complain seeing as there are very few skate shoes that are decent in that area.

I've had plenty of occasions where I check three Ross' in one day trying to find shoes, only to find nothing worth getting at all. It definitely takes going multiple times in a week to find that one day where they just got a shipment of all the good shit. Sometimes you get lucky though. Like yesterday I pretty much just checked one on a whim and found those DCs.
One thing you will almost always find there though are chucks (for those of you who skate in OG chucks). There is almost always a pair in Ross everytime I go. They usually come in some weird colors (I just saw a pair in lime green and a forest green pair today), but a lot of times you'll find some in decent colors too.

I went to a Ross last night that had P Rod 7's in high and low in fairly normal sizes. I also saw some of the white/grey P Rod 8's in sizes 6 and 7 for $27.

I feel like Ross is pretty blown out where I live. The last come up was a few years ago when I found a pair of those high top Praxis shoes. Recently picked up a pretty sick salad spinner and some irregular dockers tho.
