I've been skating these for about a month now, and love them. They are a little more bulky than regular converse, and the insole feels pretty good.

They fit true to size, I wear a 9-9.5 in converse, and wear a 10 in these

That's funny, I fucking hated those shoes. They were the absolute worst pair of skate shoes I have had in a long time. They busted after one session.

These are dope what are they called? I remember seeing a picture of these in a blue colorway somewhere online a while back and thought they'd look really good as a skate shoe.

Nike Street Gato. If you look towards the heel in that pic there is a little tab that says gato.

Instep of the shoe looks properly weird though.

They are that way because of football (or soccer like you US guys call it). They are like a street version of a indoor football shoe so that strange rubber triangles in the inner side are to had traction to the ball and had control to the player.
I saw in the set-up thread that Sondor is skating them and he said they were great! Always loved the look of this shoe, wish i could get my hands on some.

Nike Gato 5 has lunarlon construction and all, i have to say the inside isn't really hindering my skating at all.

I went to the Vans store and the teenage salesperson asked me what shoes I wanted to try on so many times that I got anxiety, faked that I got a phone call, and walked out. I'm very brave.

I ordered these from the Adidas website, when they went on sale. I wish I'd bought two. They're so much more comfortable than Vans. It really shows what a little contemporary design does for a classic shoe.
