Has anyone else been having bad luck with Adidas's newer releases? Tried the ZX vulc, the Gonz shoe, and the Silas shoe, and they were all super uncomfortable and borderline unskateable.

I am right there with you...and I WANTED to like Adidas. For my foot, there is zero consistency in sizing from one shoe to the next. Only 2 that worked for me were Silas SLR and Buz vulc.

What hasn't worked for me...

Buz ADV - Way too bulky and wide.
Silas ADV - so long in the toe that it looks like I have water skis on my feet. Weird because the rest of the shoe fits normal.
ZX Vulc - weird feeling, super thin in forefoot, high wedge midsole
Adi-Ease - Awkward and sloppy fit
Seeley Mid - REALLY nice looking, but possibly one of the worst skate shoes ever made.

I have a stack of next to new Adidas shoes that I can't even give away.

Wait, the Dylan came with a shoehorn? So they know these shoes are uncomfortable as fuck initially? Mine took about a week to break in after sitting in a hot trunk. Skated em, then sold em for exactly what I paid for them.

I may give the Austyns a try. I just don't know about brown leather with my fits.

Heritage...those OG campus mids are good ones.  make some trades.

The og campus (2008-ish version), buz pro, silas II, silas SLR, lucas ADV, and OG lucas were/are perfect fits for me.  All the new ones (minus lucas adv) all fit a little wonky.

Really hoping the Suciu and Buz adv 2.0 fit well.  that new insole looks comfy, but I agree with something Easley said a while back when it's usually better for the actual shoe to have the cushioning/tech in the sole than for the insole to do all the work.  We'll see though....

Rowley Chewbaccas.

About an hour of skating in. I've had many many pairs of Vans and I can honestly say these are superior. They have a thick insole in them, without looking wack. Lets hope they dont stretch out like Era Pros.

Do you put leather care or shine on these? I seen someone else that somehow turned their Burnished Black color way to the O.G. Lead(Like his first shoe) by just wearing them out a lot. and does the leather towards the stitching started peeling yet? i can see it on mine a little and i've only worn mines about 5 times since the release date.

Really wanted to like this shoe, fit was weird and it flopped out right away; and it felt super cheap. HAd a few pairs of the OG busenitz, fit was ok. The Gonz canvas camo shoe fits like a dream (mine are not for skating).

I shine them every couple of days and use shoe polish like once a week as well as leather conditioner every so often. I wear them almost every day and I haven't had any peeling yet. The tongue stitching has come completely undone on one of the shoes though, luckily the side straps are still fine.

just joking. but for how fashion-oriented Dylan is, his shoe isn't a very good looking dressy type shoe. They look like wack ass diesel euroboy shoes.

Anyone else have to swap the Dylan insole for something thinner cuz of how the tongue is stitched? I was trying to put the Dr. Scholl's athletic insoles in but the plastic arch support was pushing the top of my foot into the seam inside of the leather tongue causing great discomfort. I do think these'll be pretty damn good with the thinner insole i threw in em but I guess I'll have to have a separate pair of shoes for when I feel like jumping off of things. I wouldn't consider them to be my jumping off of things shoes.

Yeah, I have very thin insoles I bought from walmart for 7 bucks. The shoes are much more comfy with these than the thick stock ones.

I'm still living with the stock insoles, but they seem to be hard as a rock compared to most insoles I've tried. I'll probably switch to softer ones that are thinner in the front. I don't know about you, but I think the problem a lot of people have with the Dylans scraping up their heels can be solved by raising the bottom of the heel portion a little with a cut up piece of old insole from a different shoe. This makes the bending part of the heel of your foot clear the shoe's heel.

So I don't know, you might want to consider this when putting in a thinner insole, if you get more pain in the achilles.

I only wore the stock insoles for a day, the thinner insoles completely eliminated the Achilles scratching.
