the only thing i hate about those shoes is the nike logo, nah jk i hate how fucking thin the sole is at the front, is it so hard to have a shoe sole thats the same size from front to back?

dunks are that shit they sent me the wrong size last time though. expensive too. you know. fml. etc.
i want something like a dunk, but higher sole in the front, but not a dunk. two things for open advice from anyone, 1: does the accel stretch out? because i tried it on a while ago and they fit kinda tight. and 2: anyone knwo of any shoes like the accel that other companys make that are good? i think globe or dvs had some thicker ones but it's tricky to search out on google and not get results from like 2007.
and side note: if anyone wants me to post my thicker shoe findings let me know, i'll probably have a list of shoes pretty fast.

I just picked up some Authentic Pro's in all black.  Some people were asking if the add'l third layer would be under the toe bumper of the duracap, and I can confirm it is not.   Some also commented that the foxing comes up over the toe a little higher on the Pros, but to me they look totally normal like the regular authentics, just with a straight vertical end to the bumper rather than curved (could also be because I wear some bigger size 12s).  Also, can't confirm this yet because I haven't skated through them, but it really does feel like the duracap layer under the canvas comes all the way around to the ollie area (some were saying it doesn't).  Guess I'll find out after a couple ollies.

YEAH GET BACK TO US! Where did you find them? havent been able to get my hands on any yet.

Got back to wearing the colorful swoosh Dunks even though I swear the right was too big maybe my foot grew though.

Oh and for more laughs I was at "Famous Footwear" and asked this fat employee if they "Had any Nike SB" so this guy surprised me with what most people would call a "flamboyant" or I don't know "effeminate sensitive" voice he goes "For adult Males? They don't exist yet"

Was helping a friend clean out his garage, and stumbled upon these which were hidden away. I asked him why he never wears them, he said he wore them once and didn't like how they felt. Told me he never skated in them at all. I asked him if I could have them and he said "yeah, take em, I don't care". Came up on some free shoes which might as well be new, score!. It's like this waxed canvas material too, so they should be pretty durable.
[close]

Hate to burst your bubble, but unless it is backed with another material, waxed canvas isn't any more durable than normal canvas.
[close]
Consider my bubble burst.
Well, looks like I will be doing my usual go-to method for skate proofing canvas shoes then, which is shielding the ollie and flip areas with a wall of shoe goo.
Never skated a pair of waxed canvas shoes before, so I wasn't sure how durable they'd be, I just assumed.
[close]
They look like oiled suede ones from the picture but I guess you'd know better than me
[close]
When I first saw the shoes I thought the material looked really weird. All I saw was that it was coated in some shiny waxy looking material. My friend told me they were waxed canvas, so I just took his word for it and took them home, not having observed the shoe too much at all. After reading your comment, I took the shoes and decided to actually look at them thoroughly and it turns out they actually are suede. I seriously could not tell because the waxy coating on the outside (or "oil" as you said) really made it hard to tell what the material was if you didn't actually take the time to observe the shoe closely.

They're suede, they came in Brown also. I had both, lasted pretty good for me, grip tends to wear out before rest of shoe.

Not 100% on this but wasn't the Manteca (that DC are re-releasing) pretty much a thicker soled Dunk. I'd find them and check though...

If you mean vans slip-ons, it depends if they are the "pro" version or not.. If they are the regular version your are gonna have to rip out the insole and replace it with something better.  Bit of shoe goo (for suede) or super glue (for canvas) will go a long way.  And in the end, its a thin piece of fabric either way.. if you get an unfortunate blow to the top or side of the foot, you're fucked.

I would say that most slip-ons have a shorter life span than other shoes.. maybe two or three weeks until they feel like actual slippers.

But I will say that when you're feelin' it, and skating a pair of slips, it's like you're one with the board.  They are the ultimate board-feel type shoe, for better and for worse.

Vans always seem way too big. If Nike is considered the baseline for true-to-size, I usually go between 1 to 1 1/2 down for Vans slip ons. 1/2 down for Vans lace-ups. Up a half for a comparable DC Trase Slip or Dekline Tim Tim Slip.

I stay true to size. In pros I went down 1/2 size twice, one time it worked in my favor, the other time they were way too tight and I had to return them.

I've been skating slip on pros as much as possible as long as they've existed, and suede slip ons also. My feet don't get murdered but I'm not jumping down anything bigger than 4 stairs or so. Landing primo can suck but they feel so good otherwise that it's worth it

Posted on the last page that I am trying to skate through some of my old shoes, and decided to go way back. I dug these DVS Dill out from the back of my stash just for fun. Not sure how I ever skated in these in the first place. I love the fit and feel, but they feel like moon boots now to skate in.

SLR was probably one of the most enjoyable shoes I have skated. People were tweaked over the heel.
