Sorry for the distorted photo.

damn son you got a wide ass foot, no but on the real i don't get how people can wear shoes like that, i always have to crank down my laces, ifi wore them that loose i could throw the shoe off my foot when ever, it's weird to have a little bit to big for a 12 foot and little bit too small for a 13 foot.

 :D

My foot isn't wide at all, that's why I am always the same size in any shoe.

Yeah, I don't tie tight my shoes, I like skating them loose as possible. I would feel bad for my foot/tongue of the shoe if I choked them.

My shoes always un-tie. I never really even lace them up right or fully.

damn i can't really do that because i think my foot is too low, and if i feel my foot moving in the shoe it feels sketchy.

I remember people skating big ass shoes in the mid 2000's with out them tied at all, super loose, tripped me out. I gotta have my laces tight.

i actually like the puffy shoes (if were talking puffy bigger and not size bigger) it makes my foot look less long, and i like the look too. it's the only type of shoe i can skate and feel comfortable trying stuff in, which sucks because it's hella hard to find those types of shoes nowadays, heres a pic i got of the vans i wore from last december, that was a good ass month for skating, for some reason i did hella shit on this set up,
i got year old indys, blind pp 8.5 deck, mob grip and old bones wheels i got the same time with the indys, i think i did my first f/s flip, tre flip and front 180'd my first three block the week i took this photo.

the only thing i can't get past with the dunks is how thin the front of the sole is, besides that they look good.

This. Furthermore the lows aren't that low compared to other low shoes in the market.
The only downside of Dunks I can find is the stitched swoosh that tends to be deteriorated too quickly.

i have never ran into the swoosh peeling off problem, maybe cause i skate mostly on my toes and ball of my foot and cant do heel flips very well.

Just a slimmed down dunk low, like what it was when SB had thin tongues. From the samples I have seen a and held, just a dunk low. Same sole, toe area.

Looks like they just "cut the fat" from the current SB dunk.

I prefer the older dunks, before they revamped it and fucked it up.

Funny... this is my favourite part about Dunks. The sole breaks in instantly and skates well off the bat. I find Dunks never get as floppy as other cupsoles do either (coughcough accels).

Superglue the stitches and seams (i.e. where materials meet each other) before you start skating them. I'll superglue the stitches of the swoosh and the edges of the swoosh to the upper (unless it's an ugly colour... holy fuck does Nike release some ugly shit). I also glue the stitches/seams of the toecap (makes the shoe rip more like a one-piece toe), as well as parts of the tongue and stitches/seams of the upper eyelet (I ollie kinda weird).

Excited for the Ishod Dunk, especially if it means consistently good colourways.

Sourbeer made me want to return too!

My last couple of dunk lows were made of some crappy type of synthetic material that never really broke in too well. The shape was great but they were too stiff... It seemed to me like Nike were using synthetics to cut down on costs. I'll go back though, they really suit my feet.

Sidenote Sourbeer is also rocking the Miller's for a couple of tricks and they are great too. Really good flex, last ages and are really comfortable. Only drawback is the look isn't the greatest but you don't look at the mantlepiece when you are stoking the fire, or something like that...

What were the grey shoes he was skating? Looked like Huffs to me.

The Ishod dunk is not the Iowa state colourway, he will have his own line of colourways, it is a slimmed down dunk that has been modified, and no, the ishod dunk is not out yet

Depends on how many coats you get on there.

I have probably twice as thick than the heat transfer rubber toes (i.e. premium blazers)

I didn't follow the detailed steps from the Ripped Laces article (i.e. painters tape, tracing paper, etc.).  I just wrapped the front of the shoe/soles in duct tape and then cut out the toe piece with a razor blade following the stitching.  I followed the directions from the plasti-dip can saying to wait 4 hours between coats.  I started em Friday after work and applied coats until Sat night.  Skated em Sunday.  Intentionally did more flip tricks than usual to see how they did.  The pic above is after an hour and a half session (the shoes themselves have been skated over 10 hours prior to the rubber toe).

thanks

that was basically my whole point.

it's maddening Adidas dropped the Lucas Pro which is an amazing and extra-light cup sole with the boardfeel of a vulc and some great hidden tech (great heel-lock and padding, sprint skin) and then come out with the Match Court which is just a basic vulc shaped like the Lucas without any effort (i.e. tech for comfort to justify the price) and slap on a rubber toe.

all they had to do was put a rubber toe on the Lucas

...note: by taking away the unique toe of the Lucas Pro from the Lucas ADV, the shoe became so much blander...

so true - wish I'd got a couple more pairs of the bluebird/white/gum ones
