Scooped these Emerica Reynolds Low Vulcs up for cheap. They fit bigger than I expected and had to go a half size down. Need to find the Rep in the Long Beach, Ca area who keeps selling them to Buffalo Exchange. I feel we could both benefit from that.  ;D

Damn so sexy they should do it cupsole too

It sucks that the Reynolds G6 cupsole didn't stick around. I think a big factor for that was the sole looked too stiff and like it wouldn't soften over time, especially compared to the Herman G6.  I know that was one of the reasons I never picked it up even though I skated and loved the Herman and Wedtgate G6s (and don't mind the Westgate CCs for the bare minimum I have skated them).

I used to skate nothing but the Busenitz pro/ADV for years and then decided to try other stuff and even let myself drift back to the "buy skater owned" mentality for the last couple years.  But after grabbing another pair of pros and trading my Gillette's for a new pair of an old colorway ADV it's safe to say I think I'll be rocking Busenitz's until they stop making them.  They just fit my feet better than anything else I've tried.  And I'm happy giving Dennis my money

I was letting my dog out to take a shit and randomly grabbed an old pair of Busenitz ADV's I had near the door... Instant nostalgia!  I skated 3 pairs a couple years ago, bought another pair at the beginning of 2015 and switched to Suciu's afterwards.  Great skate shoe!  I've skated the pro's twice before too, but feel like the ADV's are underrated, especially when you can wait a couple months and get an old color way for $65 or less. Only gripe is I always blowout the sidewall area near the ball of my pinky toe on my regs flick foot.

I thought the color way name of those was rubber/black. Not an actual rubber canvas

I have a question about the nb# Logan-s 636 Black and Tan colorway. Are those part of the new good ones or an old shitty batch? And how do those skate?
Edited: took out my superstar adv question cause I saw the thread about them after.

Thanks to NB# on sending some 533 samples and production pairs on what I think (in my opinion) the best cupsole available on the market today.

How long did it take for NB# to get back to you after you applied for the weartest program? I applied about a month ago and haven't heard anything. How does it generally work?

If i remember the first all black canvas CTAS HI's had that rubber infused canvas. Then they came out with the Jason Jesse CTAS Low's with the suede back canvas(when you tear through the canvas, there's suede underneath)<<<they also did that on a few of the sumner color ways.

My only grief with suede is when you get them on your size, they stretch to half a size more. sizing down sucks on them cause they take forever to feel comfortable and get all soft. What I've done so far is leave them on my car dashboard while it's park on a sunny lit area and they get a little less stiff. takes longer than microwave but far less fuck ups and accidentally warping the soles.

No idea, this isn't part of the weartest program. They sent me kicks. But I think response back for the weartest program is like a month or something, someone mentioned it previously.

Damn I feel sorry for you concerned_parent. Converse should be ashamed of selling it the same price as suede ones, they should be at least 30% cheaper than the suedes.
I agree with you finland, it's a shame, and even vegetarian shouldn't buy canvas shoes, having to get rid of your shoes faster isn't a better option for the environment than buying suede shoes. They should buy some synthetic shoes or something. While people continue to buy canvas shoes to skate, companies will continue to offer this possibility.
We as consumers have the power on the future of companies, and we should stand our ground and buy products from brands that deserve it at shops that deserve it.

Canvas is nice because it doesnt stretch as much as suede. Shoes dont get as floppy as they would if they were suede and breathe better. I do think they should be cheaper. Remember when Supra had that TUF thing? It was like a Nylon Canvas i think, they took a beating really well for what i've heard. Shoe companies should try to push this kind of textiles but i guess people are to scared to try anything over suede/canvas/leather.

i actually enjoyed skating these. CTAS are the best shoes on the market right now in my opinion. I know new balance has been getting a lot of love but until another pair of those brighton hi vulc's surfaces I won't be entertaining them.

i mean these took a beating, i don't really flip my board too much though, so this is from 5 ~10 hour days of skating pretty hard. i'll probably stop skating these just because i've got too many shoes to burn through. has anyone skated these? i've got a pair of these ready to go and i've noticed they feel a little less bulky compared to the OG blazer.

Amazon prime has got the best of me I got these for like $30

Only issue is that the middle lace holes are made of rubber and ripped on my pushing foot. They feel nice.
Also in rotation, I picked up the SC x Cons that Concerned Parent had, definitely better than regular converse.

I'm vegan and I've switched to just buying used suede shoes on eBay or thrift stores. Cotton is gnarly on the environment so I'd rather just try destroy what other people are trying to get rid of.
