Habitat Kerry Getz. Got them cheap quite a while ago. Nice shoes and they've lasted me quite well after shoe gooing them. Only problem is that they eat laces like mad. One pair of laces per session almost. I ordered some paracord to make laces from. We'll see if those will last a bit longer. The ripped laces I have on this picture were "fixed" with a sewing machine, but that fix didn't last even one session.   :)

Next up I've been thinking of ordering the Adidas Adi-Ease ADV, Busenitz Vulc or Vans Slip-On Pro. Slip-On Pro would at least solve the lace problem, but I'm unsure if they'd stay on my feet properly enough. With Adidas I dunno what size I should get. Pretty much all my shoes are size 11 (except 10 for Chucks, but that's normal), so I'd guess size 11 would be the safest bet.

I scored today.

Went into some clothing store to buy my wife shoes. Turns out they had a huge sale

I got 6 pairs of etnies maranas @20 bucks a pair
[close]

That's a crazy deal. Is it that good of a shoe though where you'll be willing to skate 6 pairs?

Yes. Its super comfy and has a good design.  They should last a fair time.

holy shit what store did you go too?

Its this lil jock store in a small town called mctaggerts. I knew they carried nixon stuff and I wanted to get my wife a watch/shoes for her bday. Just happened to be in the middle of a big clearance sale.

The maranas were the only shoes they had that i would skate other than one pair of jamesons

I'm not really wearing skate shoes any more, when I'm not skating.

Working in a vegetable stand, walking on cobblestones I bought these. Today I'm almost not wearing anything else.

Struggling with bad back and bad knees, walking comfortable is not an issue for compromising anymore!

I've been wearing Asics as my everyday shoe for a couple of years now. I've had a bunch of their trail running shoes (with those I've added cushioned insoles) and right now I'm wearing the Nimbus which is kind of too soft for running or standing around in but is incredibly comfortable for straight up walking.

About to lace up my like 10th pair of 533's.

I'm with you Tate... I'm on my fifth pair in a row and there's no turning back for me. Seriously the best cup sole out. The colors seem to be getting better and better, so hopefully they catch on and more people see the light. Plus, I like supporting PJ too.

Do they fit true to size? And what about other new Balance shoes?

I wear size 9 or 9,5. I think I'm actually a size 9 1/4.

-Nike SB EK3-

These are not the shoes you are looking for TATE.

Haha.

But really, you skate only cupsole, so I dont know how much your gonna like these.

When I sampled them, that was my biggest complaint was that the sat funny in relation to the ground. Impact was felt on almost every step, but they HOPEFULLY fixed that issue.

I might put some FP in there, but don't know if it'll work well with the drop-in sole. Should't be a big problem for that.

Also, aren't they cupsole, the Koston 3. I remember Nike saying the hyperfeel was like advanced cupsole sole or some crap like that.

They are Cupsole, but yeah, its got a weird lock on your foot all the way up the heel. I didnt mind it after a while, but was odd at first fitting.

Skated them for the first time today, took a bit to get used to ankle feel and fit. But after skating them, they are awesome.

Flicks great and grips the board so good. A damn shame they're $150, but I feel for that price, the shoe will be worth it. Durability is there, will take a damn long time to wear out the grip and sole.

It's just shoes. No need to get all in an uproar about a sock liner. If you don't like them, don't buy them. But don't gang up on the only dude who's skating them because he likes them and happens to disagree with your uninformed opinion.

Those things remind me of storm troopers. Especially if the sock thing was black.

Edit: re-Makaveli
I wouldn't wear them, but I'm not necessarily making fun of Tate for wearing them or liking them. I'm sure they'd skate great, I used to skate dunk lows almost exclusively so it's not even the Nike thing (although I don't support SB anymore), I just don't like the way they look, even without the sockliner thing. I don't think anyone has ganged up on Tate. Maybe on the shoe, yeah, but that's to be expected from SLAP. C'mon, just try to imagine Puleo skating in those. We're only about half-cabs, campus vulcs, and eras around here... wait that was 2007...

i love how people are like "well, yeah, the kostons are 150.- but yeah they might be worth it because the last maybe a little longer than other shoes" and in the next sentence go "what, lakais/hufs for 80.-? ARE THOSE GUYS CRAZY?"

Top view is fine if you're wearing slimmer pants. These shoes look like those toe shoes when worn with baggier pants. That's all I'm sayin.

I don't really dislike the koston 3 even, but they look fucking terrible with baggy pants

Obviously I said a damn shame they're $150, not worth it (for me), but if you buy for that price, they'll last a good while.

I didn't pay for the Koston 3. Once I am done with these, I'll go back to skating NB# 533'.s

yeah i wanted the mids but i was a few months too late on em. i got the dunks but they run kinda small so i've been skating the accels mostly, i like stuff in all black colorways, so i was going to try the marana next for the toe cap, and even this dirty word, i might even get a pair of osiris since they have a shoe i like that isn't that bad looking, also what vans are those brown ones you posted? those look sweet.
