The Spitfire Silas is sick as fuck. Dope collection Heritage.

I got the new Lucas for chillers. They're definitely the true sequel to the Lucas 1 (or maybe a techy Adi-ease). I'm not sure how I feel about the grippy ass plastic on the back. It pulls on my pants like some kind of Smolik SAG thing. Maybe that was intentional? It does help keep the tongue popped.

Great collection heritage!!!  I want to love the Silas so much ( especially the spit collab ) but only bought one pair and went with my normal size and that toe box is just way too long.  Did you go .5 down?

here ya go.  can't tell the difference from the low when you're wearing them (with pants obv)

note:
1) feel even thinner in the toe (sole), which I enjoy
2) does not have the raised heel like the low (looks the same, just something about the construction of the mid collar must have changed the elevation of the heel...I dunno)

See, this is why I love slap! Was just thinking (i.e. last page) about getting a pair. Can you do a quick review (sizing too because adidas sizing is all over the shop), particularly for the brown/ spitfire collabs?

Finally got them in and on my feet.  Will try to get a session in them this week sometime and give more feedback on how they perform for those interested.

Initial thoughts

I went my normal size 8.5.  I'm happy with that.  I do have the slightest movement in my heel but I also have shitty socks on and they aren't laced tight so that may be the reason.  No pinching or weird rubbing anywhere.  Shape is perfect, width and length.  Soles/insole feel firm and supportive but not super cushioned ( coming from the adiprene insole in the superstar so I doubt anything would feel that cushioned ) so I'm expecting decent board feel but not much forgiveness if you bail jumping down big shit.  Although subjective and maybe not for everyone, I love the aesthetic of this shoe.  Will def be buying another pair or two for chilling at least and if they skate well may become my new shoe ( unless skating gaps/stairs then I'd use the superstars )

-Lucas ADV-

damn! I've had the Adi-Ease when it first came out and didn't like how it fit on my regular size of 10. Maybe due to fact that the entire shoe was suede and suede tends to stretch so i felt like i should've gone a half size down. The main problem with the Adi-Ease was the heel slip and i couldn't stand lacing it up all the way. usually like leaving 2 or just one hole left.

is the tongue thick on those luca's? just loosey gooesy mesh tongue?

Thanks dudes! I have a shoe problem. I don't even want to post up the rest of my collection.  :P

@IMP - Silas vulc is a great shoe after you get the sizing right. DEFINITELY go down .5 size to your normal size. Not sure what standard Adidas used to size these but the toe box is long and in your 'normal' size they will feel like water skis. The fit is narrow heel to toe and is low profile all the way around. Wide feet may not dig these. Sole isn't super grippy right out of the box but after you scuff it up and break it in, it's good to go. And, sized right to your foot the heel lock is great. Can't speak too much to the durability yet.

And a side note with those Spitfire collabs, the material they are made out of seem to show toe box creases quicker than the normal suede.

@Coneklr - definitely went down .5 sizing. The day they came into my local I was in a hurry and made the mistake of buying my normal size without trying them on and leaving.

@Moe - will definitely look you up.

I still haven't had the chance to skate them yet, but have worn them around the house a bit and I can say if you are not gonna lace them all/most of the way up and you go with your normal size I think there will be heel slip.  I can't verify if that will be gone if you go .5 down.  But if I leave the top hole out and lace up to the second from top and leave it laced semi loose ( normal ) I get a bit of slip just walking around here.  I lace my shoes a bit tighter when I skate and when I laced them a bit tighter I didn't notice it much.  I also wear slightly thicker socks when I skate for some reason so that will help me a bit too.

Tongue is super thin and mesh, will be great for breathability bad if you get tomahawked.  No real movement on it so far from walking that I've noticed.

I started skating Sal's today. The last 3 pairs of shoes I've had were Sole tech. They've all been hot garbage. These sals are the floppiest cup soles I've ever had. The "cloth" part under the insole isn't attached properly and there's space between the 2 and it feels fucking weird when I flick. I'm sure it's hard to imagine but it feels like a shitty bubble. I ripped out the stock insoles and put some kingfoams in, it helped a little. Going to just skate lakai's from now on.

A bargain, 25 euros each.
Had to do it after all the good things heard around here.
Really comfortable but not for skating. I can't skate in these kind of shoes.
Just for chilling and grocery shopping.

thanks for that mate! So wait, go .5 size down in Adidas (whose sizing is all over the shop anyway) or .5 size down to what I normally wear (I'm a 10 in vans for reference)? Good to know about the heel-lock too. Did you change out the stock insole, or keep it in there? How was/ is?
These days I feel like their insoles are pretty underwhelming...

I hated mine too. I really wanted to like them but I just couldn't do it. There wasn't any aspect of the shoe that was working for me. It was a bummer.

Lakai Griffin is good, lasts long and quality. It takes a minute to get used to the thin side wall, but it fits most feet and skates great.

Griffins are fuckin awseome, as are the Alvarez 1, but they havn't been produced in awhile...  I liked the Flaco as well, but laces ripped like wildfire, I'd stay away from the cambys and medisons though, their sole isn't as good, the camby usually have thinner suede and I'm pretty sure the madison only come in canvas.

I havn't skated anything but Lakai since the Griffin came out with their new sole, so anything with that and you're golden!
