The Supreme GT Blazer in blue/green. I really like them better than the normal ones. No foot-killing elastic vise.

had one of chris coles older shoes, they were amazing. on top of skating well they also felt really good to walk around in due to their lightness and whatever that foam sole is
[close]

yeah that foam midsole that goes all the way through the shoe on the mike mos and coles is so comfy....was wearing my mike mos around the house for a good two months. before that i skated the emerica laced for a solid nine months (not the same pair duh) and i stopped skating these because they made my feet hurt- got me the mike mos and walked around in them and all the pain was gone almost instantly!
[close]
It was probably the lack of support. They are really flat, I swapped insoles and the shoe feels off. I almost pulled the trigger on some Figgys until I found out they were also flat. I've said it before and I'll say it again, they should've added arch support to the figgys, either in the midsole shape or a better insole.
[close]

That goes for the whole line up ( well out of the few newer models I've tried anyway )

jep...i would back emerica (even more) if they got their shit together and put in a better insole/ some arch support!

i mean, the mike mo dcs have the same ortholite footbed, but the whole midsole construction makes it a way better thing. i know the laced is a really simple shoe but if the old ones had a better insole/ footbed/ arch support i would never skate another shoe, they just worked so good for me!

I know the Westagte runner (and even the CC, but not as much) have great support.  I don't remember the last time my foot felt more secure and I wore a pair walking all over during my vacation last summer and my feet felt way better than they should have after walking for 12-14 hours a day.

The Herman G6 was great as far as support goes, had a pair a couple years ago and dug them.
I might get another pair soon, the black and white colorway that is on their website is pretty nice looking.

It's almost October, and starting to get colder, so I figured I'd get out the leather dunks from last Halloween

never got my hands on a pair of westgate runners- how is the heel lock on those? i shied away from getting them due to being so wide in the middle- i think they might not fit good. any info/ opinion on that? if it is not a problem i might grab a pair while  they are around!

on the matter of the westgate cc: really good and snug fit but the sole was not supportive at all.....only cupsole in a while that made my feet hurt while skating. the sole of the new laced even is more stable!

I was wondering what do you guys wear in autumn, to be direct, those who have colder, more importantly damp/rainy and windy weather? Seriously, there is huge lack of leather skate shoes in the industry for the past couple of years. Your options are mainly whether some "exclusive/premium" colorway/release of a pro model that will cost you at least 120$ and up, some meh looking vans or some classy looking shoe that's too thin, too slim (maybe even too clean) and don't really fit my style and might not perform well for skating (but who knows I haven't tried them). Thankfully I've been able to provide myself so far but my supplies are coming short. Currently rocking these C1rca badboys which are made of leather pannels with a bit of suede and rubber toe cap.

Always thought those "all weather" skate shoes were stupid. You don't want to wearing sneakers in the snow... just get some boots.

I agree, but boots are for the winter and snow. I'm talking about autumn/spring. I'm not even asking for the "all weather" or with the faux shearling lining for cold weather, just a regular skate shoe with upper mainly made out of leather that's suitable for rainy weather even in the summer, but since autumn and spring where I live are mostly damp and rainy - ideal for this type of weather without worrying that my feet get wet and cold and my shoes get soggy and lose it's form.

^I usually wear whatever shoes I have around for the fall & winter, even though it first gets wet and then cold in here.

Got HUF Classic His for the fall & winter now and they at least feel a bit nicer being high and made out of suede. If I'm going to be out for a longer time during winter, I'll bust out some proper shoes. Thin vulcs will make your feet cold quickly. Or if it's gonna be wet as fuck, I'll bust out some rubber boots or something. Treating your shoes with a water repellant really helps. I can wear my shoes without problem in pretty much any condition apart from heavy rain without any issues.

I haven't had any problems with heel lock.  Weird that you said they are wide in the middle.  They feel fine and consistent to me. Like I said, snug and supportive rather than constricting. But maybe I just have wide feet and have never realized it...

You and me both!  That's why when I found this pair online I bought them even though I wasn't sure they'd fit.

thanks a lot for the feedback on the westgates....if i find some i'll get them.

thing i meant with being wide in the mid area of the shoe- if you look at the sole on the bottom of the shoe it just seems to have kinda the same width all the way through and only narrows down in the front towards the toes, wich threw me off all the time! and somehow it is unbelievably hard to find them cheap in europe.

any pals can link me to an online shop that ships to austria that has some westgates?

Ahh I get what you're saying now.  That's true for the sole, but it doesn't carry through to the inside and its fit. That wide area helps push the rubber of the outsole out a little further so you have more there to wear through before hitting the upper and side/toe panels.

I just picked up my first pair of emericas last night at the shop, been skating since before they were a company and never tried them.
Grabbed the Herman Vulc's and holy shit.... Went from skating the koston 2's with footprint insoles to these and I'm already super stoked.
felt like i didn't have any break in period for these things and they are super comfy. shop had them in a ten when i normally go between 9.5 and 10 so they are a little on the big side but not enough to bother me, great board feel and i honestly didn't have to put my footprints in but ill see how that goes

Footprint insoles tend to make my shoes smaller and tighter fitting, maybe it'll help out with them being big?

Especially using the game changers, tried all their models. But the game changers have the most affect on sizing.

honestly size isn't bothering me and the insoles haven't started bothering me either, normally after a day of skating my knee is killing me but i spent about two hours trying to heel flip something and feel fine this morning.

i use the game changers in my work shoes and skate shoes and they live up to the hype
