Just found this leather Vans Sk8-Hi deep in the closet) bought them for 10$ back in the days http://www.eukicks.com/wp-content/uploads/2011/09/zoom20.jpg

I'm just trying to wonder how they skate? Anyone tried any leather sk8hi? I find the leather very hard and looks like they are not going to last too much...

I skated a pair before. They're great, but obviously super thin soles like all regular vans.

The real Joe Pesci wouldn't be caught dead in those. Sidewall logo blows out, shoe opens up, no grip, shallow tread, no heel lock, lunarlon packs in after one skate, all of the "air vents" have a backing on them rendering them useless. ~nike quality~

They felt like how I imagine Sketchers Shape Ups feel. Worst heel construction ever with a long-ass toe. They looked amazing tho. If they had the heel-lock of the Koston 2 it would have been a classic.

this is actually what i remember about the first pair i had a little bit (black gum). the heel wasnt that bad until later on, but the side will probably blow out the same after a semi short period. but for $25 cant really complain when you need some new shoes

Do the GT blazer lows always have such thin suede? My pair feels so nice for skating, but I got an ollie hole in 5 sessions. I never get ollie holes.

HUF, i really like the classic hi. jus sayin.

They are sick. Cheers to Christian over at Huf for sending me a pair of the classic highs in the canvas/suede version, along with a pair of suede black/white Reider slip ons.

Also, it looks like the slip on and the laced version is here to stay....

With all the Adidas love going on, even though I generally wouldn't support them, I had a pair of the Chewy Cannon Campus Vulc and they looked fuckin' hot. I want a reissue of these because I'd buy them again for sure.

They had a run of some bullshit quality. I had some that lasted me two sessions and I never need new shit. I only buy it because I have impulse control problems.

Mine started falling apart almost immediately. Felt good for a day though. Careful on the tongue or it'll just fall apart in your hand, and the heel cup will collapse if you fart hard enough.

Easily one of my favorite shoes.

I've been weary of eS since their comeback, but I've been eyeing this shoe for a bit. Look like they'd be right up my ally.

The Ross by my place has Nike CKs (light grey w/ white soles) for $25, check into it if you're into that sort of thing. Copped some based on price alone, I honestly don't know why anyone would pay more than $40 for these, but I'm feelin em.

Update on the Classic Hi's: These shoes have been fuckin great, been skating them since July, looks like I'm about to blow through the sole though which sucks. Nevertheless, the toe cap has undoubtedly saved my shoe, and the suede lasted about a month and a half before I got a hole in it. Definitely getting another pair of these. Absolutely wonderful shoe
