-Adidas Buzenitz Mid-

Just like the Janoksi mid, I don't think the Busenitz pro in a mid looks good.

Some low-top shoes should remain a low-top.

Yeah but there's lots of people who can only skate cup mids which really limits things....id just hate it if you had em, liked them then adidas discontinued them which they likely would....

Got some new Suciu's in the mail today but I'm currently skating the Koston 3's.

Koston's are one of the best fitting shoes I had in a while. I went TTS and I had some blisters in the first day, but once I microwaved them they feel perfect. A true extention of your feet, like every shoe should feel. They are fairly thin but my feet dont feel sore at all so I'm good. Had 2 sessions and I'm sold on them. I also got them for half the price, so that's a plus (I would never pay retail for them).

I went half size down on Suciu's and I'm glad I did. They feel the perfect size and really comfy. The insole will take a while to get used to, but I'm sure I'll like them since I dig the "glued on" fit they give you. I bet they skate really nice!

[close]

I keep hearing about microwaving shoes but I don't know how it works. Can you do that with all sorts of shoes? What's up with the metal eyelets? I got a pair of Janoskis and they fit a little to tight for my wide feet, would this help?

Last time I tried microwaving, the papery/cardboard thing under the insole started smoking up. Possibly catching fire for a second. I think it was a Huf Dylan. Anyway, never again. Just leave in for a few days a pine shoe stretcher, or even cheaper, a piece of PVC from Home Depot. Spray some alcohol on it while it sits if you want. That should do the trick.

If it was the Cupsole Huf Dylan they have a metal piece under the cardboard, that's why it almost caught fire.

Thank you Vans.

They are great, just took a while to get used too. Stiff in the heel and flexible in the toe. Took a while to get used to it, but skates really good after that.

I've got a pair of Freeday shoes for my birthday. It's one of those unoriginal Brazilian skate companies (aka all of them but Ous which is dope). The sizing is odd and the insoles are paper thin. What's weird is that all of the pro models have some kind of faux-heraldry, logos based on the pro's lives. Adelmo Jr. is some Habitat-looking thingie with a leaf on top, this other guy's is a heart with his initials, and my shoe is a guy named Ricardo Porva's pro model. Which is a mix of the wheelchair "blue pictogram" with a skater skitching on a ponytailed stick figure's wheelchair.

I looked the guy up and the guy's daughter is disabled. I didn't recognize the guy's name, but I remember the family being on the news once, because this Porva guy came up with a conoction that would allow the girl to stand up and skate.

Here's a bad pic from the internet. My phone only takes pictures in potato quality. I absolutely love the colorway. The shoe feels too stiff and kinda loose. But you know what they say about looking in the mouths of gift horses. This was a busy sunday, since I had to work, I wore them. Hopefully they'll be taken to the griptape as soon as they don't feel stiff.

recently the freeday team all came to China and when they were in Guangzhou i was able to show em around to some spots. I was chilling with Ricardo the most. Amazing dudes. How'd they skate?

Got these for sale at the Vans outlet for 30 bucks. Been on a Vans kick lately. My last shoes before these were some OG Old Skools and they were amazing, first pair I had in years and they were better than i had remembered them. I heard a lot of mixed reviews on the Solos but these feel pretty good so far. Not quite as padded as an Era Pro when it comes to the insole, but a lot more cushiony than a pair of OG Eras; so they're a good in between when it comes to the OG Eras and the Era Pros.

Got those dunk sb's for 17 euros at the outlet store. Always wanted a pair since I saw the Marnell NBTT part, but never pulled the trigger.
Hyped on them being the puffy ones and not the Ishod version, not really hyped on the colorway but I'll probably gonna customize it. Had to go half size down tho, the toe box on the TTS felt giant!

Got a pair of matchcourts .5 size small and couldn't skate them at all.....crammed my toes so bad....been skating Huf classics for a couple years I think and the Even's are nice...just fit way better....break in faster.....pretty flimsy but I'm good with that.

Cheap on Amazon too....

Anyone skated both the Emerica Hsu G6 and the Reynolds Low (cupsole). If so, how would you compare them?

I've never had the Reynolds Low, but I've had the Herman G6 Cupsole (which I'd imagine is very similar to the Reynolds low cupsole) and the Hsu G6 Cupsole. The Hsu treads that weird line between vulc and cup, honestly. If you've ever skated some of those fake-vulc-but-actually-cup shoes from back in the day (only one I can think of offhand is the Circa Jon Allie from like 2006), it's like that. A little thinner and a lot lighter than the Romero Laced and the Figgy, but fits SO much better, they fit like a glove. The only problem with them (in my opinion) is the fact that bottom of my pant legs go over the tongue, no matter what... even when wearing Levis 511's. That's a side  effect of them fitting like a glove. The Herman's are a pretty traditional cupsole, very good flick, light for a cupsole but not noticeably so, breatheable, actually have a break in period of a session or two... they fit really well, but not as well as the Hsu's...

Hope I helped.  :-*
