caught a couple pairs on sale, I don't really care for DGK but 30 for a pair of Superster adv was too good to pass up.
the matchcourts are for chilling as of now, gonnna give them a shot once all the superstars i'm skating are busted
[close]

Good stuff as usual! Gotta love that collection. I've been skating in fake Superstars lately, it's making me want the real thing.

I'm wearing this for today, if only for the ankle support. Still haven't skated.

[garbage dunks i guess]

Shines in the dark. Cool, I guess?

[close]

i wouldnt recomend skating those dunk hi?s. ive got the same colorway and on my pair large pieces of the sole started breaking and chipping off. the sole also has zero fucking grip, worst sole ever. i guess thats the price for a translucent sole. they look sick when you remove the swoosh though.
[close]

I thought I was the only one to have the sole problem. The suede is also paper thin. I got an ollie hole in the first 3 hours of skating. But besides the grip and durability issues, they're still dunks and skate great in every aspect otherwise.
[close]

what other aspects are there? that's pretty much the two things that make skate shoes skate shoes.

suedes held up really good on mine actually. i havent gotten a hole yet so i cant speak on the suede thickness on mine. theyre extremely supportive, and when you tie them properly its impossible to roll your ankle. theyre also pretty lightweight and super comfortable.

Nice, I'm skating some matchcourts right now, I like them a lot. Planning on trying the superstars next.

How is the cushioning on the matchcourts? is the insole removable?
[close]
It's got a pretty good indole, yeah they are removable
[close]

Sorry to keep going, but how is the grip on the matchcourts?  It's been a few years since I've skated Adidas but the ones I had always seemed to be to slick on the bottoms.... was hoping these were better?
I couldn't tell you. I haven't stood on a board with them. They have the same tread pattern as the adi-ese though if that helps

just started skating these at the moment:

bought em for cheap from a friend who has won them at a contest. so far they feel quite good.
but still a little bit unfamiliar, since i was skating a nike (no sb) all court in smooth leather haha.

Your friend won them, then charged you for them? What kind of a friend is that?

They were cheap but I'm too old to be wearing this shit. I'll probably just wear them around the house, unless someone can back the canvas on the Huf Classic.

ya i wasnt expecting him to just hand them over to me for free.
but i think 20? is a reasonable price for a new shoe to skate in.
if you disagree, well then do it. i'm ok with the price- good deal.

Maybe he was trying to get him to think it over a little more
nah, i dont really care whose name is on my shoes that i use for skateboarding.
they'll be destroyed anyway, so why care. if they come in cheap and don't look
too bad then i'm in it. i was always content with dc's quality, and these are no
exception. they skate good straight out of the box. no complains from my side.

i've been wearing a lot of Vans the past few years and happened upon these (helped out at a jam/event/thing that had some leftover prizes). I put FP insoles in them, and I've only skated them a few times, but as meh as I feel about Filament or Moose, they skate great. high around the ankle but not quite midtop, and it's shaped a lot like the busenitz.

i'll also say, after more than a few pairs of vans full of moleskin to cover up stitches/seams around the toe, it's super nice to have something with a good internal lining

Thanks. I figured as much. They feel comfortable, considering they're thinner than Authentics. I just couldn't imagine them being able to take more than two ollies, without shoe goo. Also, I can't believe there's an "Essential," version, but I don't know whether the sole is shitty, or if the canvas is even thinner.

I'm skating the full suede Classic Hi's, took me a while to blow through the suede and canvas behind it, I'd totally buy another pair. Afaik, the Ess is just mostly canvas except they put up suede where the ollie patch is. Only thing I did was swap out the insoles for the ones in my Huf Choice's. If you get the full suede ones, you'll be fine.

I saw your mom do a ollie to cooch drop straight down the big black pole, it was gnarly. she defiantly shut that shit down

Not really as far as skate shoes, I give them away when I am done. I have a collection for Non-skate stuff like Jordan's, runners, etc but I don't really sell them.

I am always on the hunt for good deals.

MADE 2 inspired purchase.

In the last 3 years ive pretty much skated 10+ Nike SB Project BA's, two pairs of the Cons KA2s and Lakai Griffin XLK so these were really different in terms of shape/feel.

A bit thicker than the previous shoes i listed so it took a while to get used to. Once that was over they're really really good shoes. I love skating em and will probably want a second pair.  The only thing is they're not that breathable coming from the Project BA's
Skateboarding is like jacking-off, it's that good- Jeremy Klein

Seemed like the place to post these.
My Dylan collection. Gravis to Huf.

Missing: the Gravis boot (which I do have, just not pictured) and his first Huf model, which I wasn't super into.

Hope you guys dig, I love his first shoe on Gravis (the high top) with the waxed canvas.

I almost forgot about the dylan. hi-top since the dress shoe got most of the attention and the slip-on was so popular once it first came out.

Thanks for the reminder.  I regret not getting the Gravis boot, but I never actually saw the loafer anywhere so couldn't really get that anyway.

That was the only Gravis Dylan I owned, razor blade on the toe was a nice touch.

Damn good shoes...

I'm typically into bulkier shoes, but when I tried these, I had to buy.
I wish the collar was higher to protect ankles from incoming board impacts and some padding on tongue. Beside that, it's perfect, sole, the toebox shape, stability. Thank you Emerica & Figgy.

Luckily scoop this from a fellow Dylan fan earlier this year. traded a bunch of stuff which was worth it because i've been on the hunt for these since the company went down back in 2012. Now just the Oxblood's left but i probably won't have any luck since everything is getting marked up since his death.
