Got an amazon gift card and didn't know what to spend it on and it's been a while since I've grabbed a pair of these, which is all I used to wear for years, so for a pair that used to be well over 100 for 49 I figured fuck it ...

Has anyone of you skated a pair of Jordan 1's?

Thinking about testing them if I can find a pair for the low low

Can confirm. Used to wear em, once broken in they feel really nice. It's also hilarious hearing sneaker dudes so bummed from seeing a pair of thrashed Jordans.

ive only skated jordan 1 mids cause u can find those for pretty cheap at the outlets and there isnt much difference between them and og jordan 1's other than colorways. they skate really good nice flick once u break em in i threw an ultracush insole in there cause the stock insole is trash

I actually prefer skating Jordan 1's to SB Dunks! The upper just looks better in my opinion. More balanced design-wise If they had the slightly lighter/cushier Nike SB Dunk EVA foam and better traction rubber midsole/sole unit though... that would be the perfect high top cupsole shoe! DO YOU HEAR THAT NIKE DESIGNERS?  :-*

Correct. Side by side the dunk looks like a child’s shoe. More cushioning would be perfect. Traction works for me, but I don’t like things ‘too’ grippy

Got the reboot Fallen Patriots today. They're actually pretty freaking great this time around. Love the new insoles. Not having Jamie Thomas at the helm kinda takes away from the legitimacy of the brand, but the actual shoes are better than ever and they're putting a team together... so I might keep buying them.

This particular model is very similar to the Reynolds G6 but just a little thinner around the collar and without the plastic toe cap. I went true to size and there is a little toe room. I would go half size down next time to get the slightly uncomfortable toes against the toe box skate fit. It is a cupsole and has good boardfeel/protection ratio. Silhouette-wise, it looks almost exactly the same as the Reynolds G6 when you look down at your feet. Comes with an extra pair of opposite colored laces.

OG half cabs; been super hyped on Guys Mouse part lately which inspired me to finally start skating these which I've just had lying around in my room for lord knows how long now. Don't know why I put off skating in em for so long because they feel great.

Thanks for the info you all!

Seems like J1's are just what I'm looking for! Hopefully ebay gives some decent colorways!

My grip can be sticky but I too like my out soles to be a bit on the harder side.. I think it helps the shoes to last longer.

There is a new SB AJ1 coming out with a Lakers colorway that wears down to a Chicago colorway. Unofficial images have surfaced.

I've been eyeing some Half Cabs as my next pair recently. Is it worth it to get the Pros? I know they have the duracap underneath the toe, but I feel like reviews I see are 50/50 for the Pros vs the Classics. Which are your preference?
I don't really understand what's going on and I haven't read this thread yet, but I can tell I'm angry.

I know you aren't asking me, but I love an excuse to talk about half cabs.

I go back and forth between both, though when I get regulars I peel out the insole with a putty knife and put in an ultracush. I find that with both I'll end up wearing through the sole well before anywhere on the upper. Regs fit my feet better and feel way better out of the box, but I'd still take the pro over just about any other shoe.

I didn’t want to make a new thread so I hope I came  to the right place.

Around Xmas I got some vans GC2. I don’t  remember the last shoe I’ve had that’s this comfortable. They blew out fast and aren’t durable. Still wearing them because the way they feel and skate.

After skating them and seeing theyre like a thin cupsole so it’s a best of both worlds kinda thing. Im on a cupsole kick. Is there any other cupsole with a nice thin silhouette? Who all is still making cupsoles? What are some shoes similar?

I keep seeing positive things about the nb440 but was wanting to weigh my options before pulling the trigger.

I used to never like the pros, I always thought they looked like budget knock offs of the classics. But the Half Cab Pros I have now actually fit me better than the classics have been. I definitely recommend a pair if you can check them out in person. Some of them have a rounder toe and look bloated, but some color ways have the same shape of the classic. Not sure why.
