just got all these today...all will be in heavy rotation.



I’m a huge chukka guy, and when I saw they came out with velvet ones, I had to get both colors. these are “Anaheim” vans? whatever that means. psyched regardless. got the white canvas 3mc’s for chilling. And hopefully my ankle heals up soon so I can start skating these blazers!

Great pickups man, i like every single 1 of those. Those vans are super sick!

that’s what I’m skating now, the normal ones, not the skate ones. I just buy those flick tape? (I think) suede patches. I cut about 1/3 off the patch, flip the bigger piece so that the sticky side is facing up, put down the smaller piece so that it’s sticky side is attached to the sticky side of the bigger piece, put the patch on the hole in your shoe, and there you go, suede patch where the hole is, it’s lasted me 2 months straight of skating 3-4 times a week. Worth the $10. They just don’t work good if you use them like they say to.

Those are a steal at $39 AUD, excellent cushioning but the lace design isn't great.

thanks. they skate awesome. nah i havent bothered as i am based in China.. the local shop I ordered em from offered to refund me the $ but i didnt bother to accept since they're a really local shop.

anyone else had better luck?  i saw a few people on ig complain about this too on this specific color way

I skated the black/white ones and that wasn't an issue for me, but they're so damn tight I had to go up a half size, and even then the left one is still so tight. They also kinda hurt my feet. Mentioned this elsewhere but I've never tried a Lakai shoe that wasn't uncomfortable. Only had 3 pairs ever, all 3 pairs sucked. Really hate to give that review but it is what it is. Lakai is shit, I guess.

My leather Carrolls are good quality and pretty damn durable. I hit the first lace hole stitching with some goo and they’ve been lasting a while. Gonna retire em to due a bald sole before anything else. They were TTS for me.

Wish it had more padding, quite slim compared to the OG, and the leather is a bit stiff for my preference but that’s for a different conversation. Overall the quality is there in my experience.

Also, those oval laces they come with are a weird choice. I threw in round laces that came with Legacy Slims and it looks way cleaner.

Look a lot closer to the older 288 then the new 288s do, that's a good thing.

IMO They are one of the best shoes out there, skate so good, last a long time, break in quick. The only not so tiny detail is the fact that once you blow through the lace loops the fit of the shoe is pretty much fucked.

IMO They are one of the best shoes out there, skate so good, last a long time, break in quick. The only not so tiny detail is the fact that once you blow through the lace loops the fit of the shoe is pretty much fucked.

That shoe looks like a mullet. That long ass flat clean vamp is such a eyesore to me, been done to death and it just doesn’t go well with the rest of the bulky/detailed upper imo...
