vans wayvee in white leather. I’ve worn them maybe 10 times since getting them in April. (I have way too many shoes lmao) gonna be skating in them next. the fit and look kinda remind me of the emerica Reynolds 1, which I’m pretty sure I had at least 10 pair of. Lmao
This has me cracking up, what exactly does Black Flag have to do with measuring your dick starting behind ya nuts?

Skateboarding is nothing but a game to find the right fits to appear like you're a proportional human being instead of a midget or a giant.

Red Kalis’ feel like a pipe dream at this point.
I sold a pair of shoes and replaced them with these Tribekas.
They feel so damn similar to a Project BA which is fine by me!

That's interesting. I kept a pair of BAs in my stash that by the time I got around to skating them there was no chance of finding more.

I'm not a collab guy at all, but DC x Venture is one of the very rare exceptions where I think a collab makes sense. Copped these Manteca 4s for half off and love the fit.

Great shoe.

First session was an absolute blast! I mainly skated vulcs in the past 6 months, but I'm pretty sure these beauties made me into a cupsole guy. They somehow don't lack in boardfeel even though they're pretty supportive shoes, and the flick is real nice. Landed several personal nbds because it all just clicked immediately. From what I can tell from one 4 hour session they seem to hold up pretty well too. I'm afraid you're going to have to get some sooner or later, Moe.

Pumas ive been skating for about 3 months, adidas skated about 1 month

Pumas have great board feel and nice and bendy but not too floppy - flick ages like wine when I first got them felt like I had soaped up grip or something now they flick like worn in vans - like you can really feel the flick or something lol . They hurt to jump in though.

Adidas we’re good but too many seems that easily fe thread after like 10 ollies so lots of shoe goo - I also like how they skate better without the Velcro strap which always just gave me worse hot pockets

waved and warped

Been trying to find the 440's in my size for a long time to check if the hype was real.

One of the most comfy shoes I ever tried out of the box. I need to find a pair of hi's to skate them as soon as possible.

I'd say they fit true to size, yeah. I'm usually a size 12 and the Mantecas fit perfectly. I've never had Emericas or Lakais, so I can't speak to how they might compare.

Made myself make the switch from Jordan 1 Highs to SB Dunk Highs.  I will say the new molds for the SB Dunk feel a lot more comfy than older pairs, and a lot more grippy than I remember.  The fold over stitch around the toebox definitely holds up better than a raw edge shoe.  I have a lot of pairs on deck to skate, and interested how a full grain leather version will feel compared to the suede/twill... They 100% hold up better than a Jordan 1, however I will say, Jordan 1s have probably the best board feel of any cupsole shoe out there... albeit pricey

White leather half cabs with the tongues all poofy for '94 Freddy.

I've got some original white leathers with the black sole from maybe '02 but the material in the heel dry-rotted, wish there was some way to restore them (I'm sure there is, just don't have the time).
[close]

my man. also, check out the chive half cabs, for some reason the tongue on them is like 3x as thick as normal cabs (at least mine were)

yes had the same experience super weird

I actually got married in these so they've been stashed for a bit, but going to get them in the rotation

That’s awesome!  Pontus should send you a box for inviting his shoes to the wedding

I hope your spouse didn’t read anything into you wearing last resorts to your wedding

LOL never thought about that. Nah we had a pretty casual desert wedding and I wanted to be comfortable. She was cool with it

Congrats whenever the wedding was.   Seems like a sensible shoe choice rather than a “get married in skate shoes” sentiment.
Technically it is literally a “get married in skate shoes” move but getting married in skate shoes is an absolute sigma male move, god bless you and your union my brother

White leather half cabs with the tongues all poofy for '94 Freddy.

I've got some original white leathers with the black sole from maybe '02 but the material in the heel dry-rotted, wish there was some way to restore them (I'm sure there is, just don't have the time).

my man. also, check out the chive half cabs, for some reason the tongue on them is like 3x as thick as normal cabs (at least mine were)

yes had the same experience super weird

I haven’t had laces that fit in a normal lace job in a pair of half cans in years
