People were sleeping on some of Globes models over the last 6 years. They weren't terrible in quality, and actually attempted to do a modern, sleek take on a traditional skate shoe.

That sole  on the Holand is pretty solid. It's been used on at least one to two other models. One I have skated and enjoyed!

@MOE SYZLAK  let us know how they feel walking and skating if you end up ripping in em!  8)

Globe hooked it up with a pair of the new Holand.
Really excited to skate this shoe, it’s the same shape as the HUF 1984. Which is coincidentally my favorite shoe of all time. Hopefully these fill the void in my heart.

saw these recently and really like the simple cupsole look they have.
as if times were not weird enough- no, it is GLOBE shoes to deliver a no bullshit/ straight forward cupsole shoe with minimal branding and what seems to be a substantial cupsole too?

hope you have fun in these MOE and hope you report back!

These feel like in the same ballpark as Herman’s shoes are in (in a good way)

They fit pretty TTS . You could go down .5 size if you want a more snug fit. I don’t know if they are similar to any other shoes. They have a similar shape to some of the og etnies and es from the early 00’s. Just a straight forward skate shoe.

I'm actually skating the Empire right now (David Gonzalez colorway that I bought on sale)

Pretty much done with skating them tho, getting tired of puting duct tape on that ollie hole every couple of weeks, but have to say I'm pretty pleased with their performance. The low profile cupsole reminded me of the Busenitz pro, flexible and comfortable, + it has a solid insole so it doesn't sting even after skating them for so long

Much better direction than the Austyn led slim vulcs imo. If they make a solid mid cup I'd be down to try some.

I like this colorway a lot - haven't been a fan of the previous ones.

Fit-wise they're TTS I'm wearing a 10.5 - they're ever so slightly snug in a comfy way (width-wise, plenty of toe room) but that will bag/stretch out super fast; sole feels thick in the heel but overall weirdly comfy for how little padding there is overall; like dunks they have the 'real shoe' feel instead of 'skate shoe' feel.

I'll bounce back in after I break them in and skate them.

Just out of curiosity, what negative stuff have you seen about them?  Been skating my first pair for like three sessions now and I’m really enjoying them.

On the beggining they're super nice but idk what happens after like 2 weeks that feet start hurting. In my case my Achilles took the bullet and I could no longer skate in them which sucks since they look and perform pretty nice.

I'm glad to hear that coz I would like a pair at some point

I guess moonordie beat me to it,  from memory negative things on here it was that uncomfortable
and that the sole was a bit odd ..

Would like to hear what you like about them too?

It came today! Woohooo! https://www.walmart.com/search?q=etnies&facet=retailer_type%3AWalmart

Damn, I thought you were kidding about buying them!
Does the sole feel sticky? Honestly I’m happy that kids who are getting into skating can get these. I worked at a boys and girls club in 09-11 and that was when Walmart had Shawn white shoes. A bunch of the kids who were getting into skating had those, and these Etnies look like a solid choice for a kid like that
