Most people here post brand new shoes, here I have the ones that I'm skating right now but pretty much done with, maybe have one or two more sessions in them.

Funny tongue Asics Gel-Splyte. Got them to skate, but after a few frontside grinds they might be better suited as chillers for me. One thing is for sure; your foot will not accidentally move around or slide in these mf'ers

First sesh in the 600s today, pretty much right out of the box. I skated 2 pairs of the Etnies Joslin before these. Boardfeel is great, grip took a bit of getting used too. I am not sure if I like these insoles, might throw some of the old Etnies insoles in there. I wear ankle braces and both my feet fit well in these shoes and they felt protected. 4 hours of skating and my metatarsals hurt a bit but nothing else hurts so far. The last hour was non stop flatground. Landed all my usual go to tricks in a reasonable amount of time. Normally I hate new shoes but these were not bad for the first day.

What about the grip took getting used to? Too grippy? Not grippy enough?

I am not sure how to explain it. It felt like there was a tiny layer of harder rubber on the bottom of the sole and it didn't grip as well on my board. But that went away after an hour of skating. Mind you, I didn’t walk around in these shoes. I took the box to the spot and put them on there. And after 4 hours skating today I am not sure if these shoes are already fully broken in. Maybe someone else can chime in when these shoes feel fully broken in. Maybe the pal @moonordie ?

Thanks for the response. I got a pair but haven't worn them yet aside from trying them on. I probably won't get to them for another month or two.

I have the launch leather white ones and they feel horrible, my foot swims in them and I have to tie them up very tight and you can image how awful they look. Grip get better after like 1 week.
So far is my least favorite NB# shoe, fit is bad for me and also I feel that the shoe is too low to the ground.
I have the black suede ones, same as you, and makes me wonder if they're any better. Probably I'll just sell them.
Sir, I'm going to politely, but firmly, ask you and your common sense to leave this establishment.

Yeah man. Something about the launch white leather ones felt a bit weird to me too. These ones somehow feel better, I don't know why. I wonder if the internal arch support gets softer after a few sessions? I skated these with the stock insoles but I will try a few different ones I have laying around. Maybe a flatter insole would feel nice with these shoes.

just chiming in to echo that they did now work for me, but hope they do for you.

a shoe that in theory should check a lot of boxes for me: love the design/ indoor shoes vibe they got, Tom Knox pro model shoes, well cushioned but great board feel.

But somehow they fit me great trying them on but i soon start to slide forward inside the shoes till my toes ar all curled up and start hurting. so a shoe that should fit me well but i swim in them at the same time- no matter wich way i lace them up.

bummer

Edit: Didn't wanna talk shit on the shoes, rather jealous for you guys that can skate them! you gentlemen, enjoy!

I had zero issues with the 600, prob favorite NB shoe. I like that they do not under or overwhelm in any specific area. I found the flick very close to the 440 and the grip improves after 1-2 sessions I assume once the top of the rubber wears off. I will say that the suede ones pop the toe stitches super easily, but just take a lighter to it or use superglue. No idea why the leather ones don't do that.
