First sesh in the 600s today, pretty much right out of the box. I skated 2 pairs of the Etnies Joslin before these. Boardfeel is great, grip took a bit of getting used too. I am not sure if I like these insoles, might throw some of the old Etnies insoles in there. I wear ankle braces and both my feet fit well in these shoes and they felt protected. 4 hours of skating and my metatarsals hurt a bit but nothing else hurts so far. The last hour was non stop flatground. Landed all my usual go to tricks in a reasonable amount of time. Normally I hate new shoes but these were not bad for the first day.

What about the grip took getting used to? Too grippy? Not grippy enough?

Got a lil crazy today and went with the Yeezy 6whateverthefuck despite these looking wild they are pretty damn comfy, and with a baggier pant it definitely takes down the bulk of the shoe, doesn’t look as big, I got these for like 60 bucks from a friend that didn’t like them, I don’t wear them that often but every once awhile I like to throw off my coworkers with some crazy ass shoes, most of them are sneaker heads so they always trip when I bring out something no one else has

Not to derail too much but yea my dad worked in a field where he couldn’t discuss anything as well so he is always curious about my job, the company was one of the first that did metal photo, we made the metal control panels that labeled the Apollo moon landing so that’s cool, but other than that we make warning labels and that’s about it

I'm on the fence about the Safari Dunks (they actually look pretty good in the photo), I loved the original Safari shoes I purchased in maybe '05 and always wanted that print in a Dunk, but those blue laces have to go though... Swap those out for some white laces and we might have a deal, but my local also has the all white orange label jawns in my size right now, the tough decisions of life...

Yeah i really like these in hand/on foot, and I like the blue stock laces for the remaining summer days, but come fall I'm gonna swap with the extra black laces, seen a lot of people already do that switch and seem to prefer it, white swap might be sick too.

Like the look.  Wish I didn’t have to go a little tighter on my lacing

I had that issue with my first pair but I went half a size down and it solved that issue. A little more snug but I like my shoes that way. Hate choking the laces to get the shoe to fit
