Thanks for the well wishes boys <3 Thankfully they're just minor fractures so hopefully I be back in the game within six weeks, maybe a lil bit longer.

the vulc sole on the GTs seems underrated. That thing lasted me a really really long time and I do way too many kickflips.

I walked around in them all day today and they were way more comfortable than I expected.  Good to hear that they may hold up fairly well too.

That's what I'm hoping but I'm not sure yet.  I'll be skating next Saturday and I'll make sure to update afterwards.

Wanted a little break from NB# so yesterday I tried some Blazers mid and at the end of the day I was in pain and I didn't skate that much. I don't understand how people can skate on those after certain age. Today I tried some Half cabs and they hurt a little but manageable.

Damn @moonordie I'm sorry to hear that man.  I'm not sure the GT's are any different in that regard but being old and switching to vulc for the first time in like a decade (or more) the past couple sessions, I thought I'd be in the same boat but so far so good with the CK All Courts and the 20 years of GT's.  Hopefully a couple days of rest and you're back to normal

Yesterdays sesh ...

Setup posted in the setups thread (although I just switched to bones hards which took some getting used to from mediums) 20 Years of GT Blazers, Carhartt WIP camo's.  I'll keep you all updated if they wear to blue or not.  I didn't do enough flips to really tell ... they just look dirty where there is wear currently.

I feel that GT are more supportive than Blazers mid. Probably do to the right fit.

How are the Rowan 2s? I loved the first ones. I like cupsoles. I just keep going back and forth if they’re bulky or not. On foot they look good

I really like them quite a bit. Fairly light and quite supportive. Not bulky at all especially compared to the first Rowan which I liked a lot, too. Wider than the AVE2 but essentially the same sole so the grip gets better as they get worn in. Great boardfeel for a cupsole. Vans has them on sale right now with an extra 40% off so a good time to try them.

Genuinely one of the best models Vans has out right now. Had them since mid September, skating a few times a week and the only notable damage is small wear on the toe, faded suede in the high wear areas, and some cracks on the side of the  sole (which seem to only be cosmetic). No rips or anything like that. The break in period was kinda rough for me but the shoe is lasting pretty long because of it in terms of support and comfort. I've been wanting to get new shoes to switch it up but I can't justify it because these shoes aren't even close to being dead.

Downside is the MSRP of $110 which I think is preventing a lot people from trying these out since Vans shoes aren't usually this expensive (plus you can get more trendier options at that price point like NB or Nike SB) but if you're buying from bigger retailers or outlets it's fairly easy to find them in the $60-80 range.

The laces suck though. It's the super thin ones you'd find on lifestyle Chuck Taylors which is disappointing, but mine have not ripped yet.

Bought these for $15 brand new without trying on, knowing they likely wouldn’t fit but for that price I’ll take the gamble.  What a weird shoe lol.  Back half of it is actually pretty comfy, but the toebox is so narrow and thin, no way I could wear them.

Man, these were on sale for $42 this weekend but I'm between sizes and I wanted to try them on one last time. Went to the store on uesday but missed the sale. The next time Vans does a sale shoe sale, I'm definitely grabbing a pair.
