Only a first impression at the moment but very impressed so far. Feel great.  Haven't actually skated them yet cos weather but just from how they feel seem like far more skatable than the other dcs I have

I basically do the same thing, it's just limited with the sizing options, I've seen tons of Ascends on sale from the places you've mentioned but it's almost always outside my sizing range unfortunately. Most of mine come from eBay and some from DC when they run decent sales.

Not shoes I’m wearing but I didn’t know where to put this. Last night I came face to face with what felt like a mythical being.

The composition/narrative of that picture is interesting: on the front there is the obnoxious chunky thing, but a converse chuck taylor is right in the back, the complete opossite, like counter balancing.

The revival of those shoes and other spawns from the dark ages is like a bad omen, never thought they would come back to popularity. Same goes to vans knu schools, chunky campus, chunky pumas suede, chunky reebok club c. Also converse plattform sneakers, etc.
