I think I’m going to mostly buy IPATH once I’m finished with my stack of shoes, with the exception of Andrew Allen colorways from Vans.

How do those Cats fit? Same size you usually get? Chillers or will they seem some kickflip hippy jumps (aka Kilty McBagpipes) also?

So, they’re too small for me because I went down half a size to 9.0. My feet shrank due to a combination of cold weather, inactivity and quitting alcohol. 9.0 is too small for me after 10-20 minutes of any physical activity. I skated a pair in 10.0 a while ago. They were too long after breaking them in but stayed on after tightening the laces. I need a 9.5 in these like my Grasshoppers. Commonwealth didn’t have my size. Since, I would have had to buy from CCS or IPATH directly, I took my chances on 9.0, which was the wrong move.

On any future pair of Cats, I’m keeping them as chillers initially and then skating them when the tread wears down. The uppers don’t last long, especially if they’re hemp, and look gross with a lot of shoe goo on them. Go with whatever size you wear in Grasshoppers. That’s TTS for me, with a little under a thumb’s width between the big toe and end of shoe.

I finally found a pair of this colorway that was heavily discounted at a shop. CCS was the only other site that had these.

Thanks. I'm also wearing Hoppers right now as we speak. Size 12... which is what I wear in most shoes but Ghoppers def fit me better in 11.5. Funny you mention Commonwealth... that is my local and they have those Cats in 11.5 for $60....

Those the black denim hoppers?

Also I see you are an enjoyer of skate-branded socks. I just got a couple pairs of Vans socks. Being that a decent 6- or 8-pack with three stripes or a swoop can be had for cheaper than a single skate-branded pair at Marshall's or X discount retailer in your region, would you say the quality is worth the price or are skate companies fleecing us on this type of soft good?

Yeah, those are the black denim ones.

Regarding the socks, the quality varies by brand, but it’s probably not worth the price. I think Polar and DLX socks are the best, with Polar feeling slightly thinner. You can get a six pack of Nike socks for the same price as two pairs of Polar or DLX socks. I only have a collection because I buy them to qualify for free shipping or for the sake of buying something when I visit shops that don’t have anything I want.

In the past, I never had any six-packs from Vans, but have tried Nike and Converse. They’re much better than Hanes or Fruit of the Loom, but aren’t as good as the single pairs from most skateboarding brands. I do prefer them [Nike/CONS] over Toy Machine but not Stance.

Also, with DLX socks, they vary. The Krooked ones with the flowers and Spitfire ones with swirls require more effort to put on because they’re tighter. I wouldn’t recommend those for anyone that wears 10.0+. They fit similar to HUF so maybe those come from the same factory since they’re both from South Korea.

My overall ranking:
DLX > Polar > Stance > Nike > Converse > Toy Machine >  HUF > Dickies > Fruit of the Loom > Hanes

Polar feels the best, but I get holes on the bottom of the heel, and sometimes around the toes, quicker with those and all the brands listed after Nike.

Bass Weejuns, usually rock sneakers at work but big bosses coming in.

These were always mid but the newer leather is so fucking shit
I know I need to spring for an expensive pair of loafers or dress shoes besides the black funeral joints.

I got a pair of Karhu fusion 2.0 from Goodwill for $8 !

Been rocking them for a month, they are more comfy than my asics classics, somehow lighter and sturdier although not as soft (benefit for longer walking)
no, i live in an efficiency by myself and work in middle management like you, loser

I was a little iffy on the colorway, but I got them for cheap and actually like 'em, the red and white contrast works well...

I do wish they would make a solid white colorway of these jawns...

And I definitely need to grab some Asics soon, I'm on the hunt...

Black/Denim (free shipping above $100):
https://familiaskate.com/collections/ipath/products/grasshopper-black-denim

Commonwealth had the waxed canvas/synthetic ones for $65 shipped, but they sold out. There are some black hemp Cats in a few sizes:
https://cwskate.com/#!/IPATH/c/169995114

Those olive Grasshoppers are $90 on the IPATH site and you can use the 15% off sign-up code. Free shipping is at $125. You probably won’t see good deals on those from shops until the summer drop releases.

If you’re looking for Cats and are a 9, No Comply has the olive Cats Low for $50:

That’s good they’re eating lamb instead of typical dog food made out of Charley Horse.
