Why thank yee! I can't say I'm that I know much about jazz at all, especially compared to a couple of my friends who are jazz musicians themselves, but I do know that this here collection makes me feel joy inside. My life feels like a Woody Allen film enough as it is, may as well have the soundrack to go with it.

Is that a Les Paul Studio? Nice.
I've been wanting to buy a new guitar forever, but haven't got the money to do it. But I bought:

And I signed up at www.jamplay.com to refresh my music theory and learn some new techniques...That website is seriously amazing. Any guitar player should check it out.

that looks a lot like my friend's snare. i didnt even realize his kit was a ludwig til the other day i was looking at a thread about drums on here. i asked him about it and he said "this isnt just a starter set man, this was like 3000$ used when I was like 15 off my neighbour who was this mega rocker dude who sold like everything he had to go on a van trip to california, and hes still there." so i got a lot more respect for his kit. he always hates when people play on it and now i see why.

there are cheaper versions of this snare out there - it's been around a long time and is sort of a standard - but yeah, could totally be it.

drummers tend to be particular about their gear and setup.
people always want to get behind someone's kit, move shit around,
hit drums and cymbals like fucking cavemen, rest their drinks on your shit, etc.
and yeah, shit ain't cheap.

it's weird, non-musicians don't pick up a guitar and fucking windmill like Pete Townsend,
but they'll sure as shit get behind a kit and do their most uncoordinated Animal impression.

oh damn, nice.  i've got a shitty premier snare that came with my ludwigs, and it just looks so out of place.  if i ever get back into drums i'm gonna have to drop the money on a black beauty.  and replace all of my cracked cymbals
