For those on insta, there is an account called Skateboard_Marketplace and its basically a bulletin board for boards that are for sale. Theres a little bit of sifting to be done, but you'll see full Habitat sets, then maybe a Sean Sheffey Girl Board, then a wild Alien deck, then maybe a Milk Hosoi deck or something. It's a trip to see what shows up and a pretty good place to collect.

Screen shot a couple crazy ones recently.

Couple of recent big time sales.

Year or so ago...

Listen, I love boards from the 90s and I know these things are rare as shit, but are people actually paying SEVENTEEN THOUSAND, not HUNDRED, but THOUSAND DOLLARS FOR A FUCKING SKATEBOARD??? Or is this some shit where the sales aren't actually going through or people are having their friends bid to drive up the prices of these things?

All the good Aesthetics boards get pinched by the account holder though.
Seriously though, it’s a rare thing I like to see pop up in my feed.  Some gems pop up quite often

So many boards on eBay I'd kill to have but just can't justify the cost.
Any/all of the Aesthetics arcade series. This one is going for $500 on eBay.

If I won the lottery or whatever I'd track down and buy the whole series

This Tommy Guerrero got up to $17,000. Some NOS Natas board was up to 15K, I just can't find the final listing.

Not sure if this is the right place to ask but I got a Girl Björk Spike Jonze Deck, not in the Plastik wrapper anymore but untouched. How much is that worth and should I hold on to it or sell now? I thought I wanted it for my wall but somehow a horizontal deck is kinda not my vibe and hanging it vertical just ruins the photo
At least like $5 but I’d give you $20 just to help you out.

For real, hit me up if you want to unload. No idea what it’s worth but we can talk.

Yes. This was peak 2023 pricing but there allot of people with $$$$ ready to buy the right deck for their collections.

That Reynolds hypnotize board was on sale for $200 from Screaming Squeegee’s garage sale site. Someone probably bought/flipped it for $500.

Are some of these from pros personal stashes? A few of these just seem too boring for anyone to have willingly collected.

This Skull Skates Dead Guys deck, which is obviously a smeared up screening misprint, fills me with profound sadness.

And talk about a lack of transparency (literally).

Damn, that Natas board is incredible. That's really not even a bad price if it's really in mint condition.

$660 for Memory Screen!? Is it some kind of special edition? It looks diffent

So this thread inspired me to list my old skate mags that had been sitting in boxes at my mom’s house just to see what would happen. I didn’t want shill them here but it looks like the stuff I listed so far is going to go for over $200 which feels crazy to me.

I actually kind of regret selling the Big Brother mags because after listing them I was reading a few and they were all so fucking good. Good photos, shit that’s actually entertaining to read - it really took me back. I care less about the Thrashers although the music sections I didn’t give a shit about as a kid are pretty interesting now.
