Reminds me of market research focus group,  does the following appeal to you?

Description:

Constructed using three layers of interwoven basalt with four standard thickness interior veneers and two thinner face veneers. Hand laid and precision pressed in a single mold. DBX decks are designed for strength along with an emphasis on response, feel, pop and overall lasting performance.

I don't really mess with dlx decks myself,  I do like to see new shit especially if this forum backs it,
So I hope these are good.

That's cool,  especially since they are single press

No roman numeral hunting necessary

I like mellow concave as they are more comfortable for cruising overall.  More natural. But I'll settle for mellower kicks.

Are these made at BBS in Mexico or are they made by BBS in Asia?

I'm totally speculating but I'm guessing they're using basalt fiber in the way that NHS uses carbon fiber plies on their VX boards. I like the thinness/lightness of those VX boards, but they hurt my knees from being too stiff. Basalt fiber is supposed to be more flexible while stiff adding strength. I know I can text someone and get a definitive answer, but just throwing it out in the ether here instead. It could be a good idea with skateboard prices being at an all time high.

Are they really $45 USD more then normal BBS decks? When I click on the DLX site it's shows €108.95 (plus shipping)

I'm going to set mine up today. My hopes are that is as sturdy as a palace deck but with a slightly mellower nose and tail. I usually retire my palaces and break my bbs decks prematurely

I wouldn't mind the price if they skate like i hope it does.

while not sharp they are thinner right out of the gate, gonna give off the perception of being razored much sooner imo.

While I’ve not yet had the privilege of sampling one myself, I’ve heard all kinds of positive talk around “the office” about these.
Looking forward to a real world report from our man @Fifty8mm on their longevity.
Sort of slots into that “pay more, get more” model of consumerism & I can’t lie, I’m curious as fuck about these thing’s real world durability.
Until I hear otherwise, I’m still choosing (out of optimism) to believe the hype on these bad boys.

I wanna play you in a game of SKATE for the right to continue talking shit on me… You think you got me?

Palace are steep as fuck and heavy. So no they dont lol. I don't mind the heaviness  but i do mind the steep kicks. This board is hella light and the kicks are lower.

I understand that this isn't the case for every skater, but I think the thing that these sorts of products miss is that many (most?) of us actually very much enjoy skating a new skateboard.

Flights and VX razor faster since they're thinner, it's unavoidable...same here unless Basalt is magic.

Guess heavyweights didn't sell and you need a flight/vs/popsecret/P2/impact to compete...or it's bait for cordano...;)

I know a fat ass that loves the tech boards since they last/don't break, also know a manual guy that won't ever ride them since he burns thru decks.

Dbx board got set up and skated for an about an hour and a half.

It took me longer to get comfortable. I was skating a 15.25 wb board (Metal Induction big board) and the DBX eagle is a 8.25x14.25wb.

At first it felt and sounded like a normal board. It took me a while to get used to it (about a half hr). It flexes but has snappy fucking pop and it popped with minimal effort so it felt fucking off.

After i got comfortable i started popping higher. I think when i realized that this board is different is when i landed horribly on the tail, I broke so many bbs decks from the tail if not all, and this one one didn't. I proceeded to landing on the same spot a couple of more times. Still didn't break.

It so springy and responsive, reminds me of a ps stix on the first day. Which feel great for a tiny bit then crap out immediately.

I guess for anyone who has one @Fifty8mm or anyone else, it should have it on the warning sticker.

They are clearly marked Made in Mexico or Made in China on everything I have, so I would assume that they are also clearly marked on the new boards too, but who knows.

Gone since 1988.  I talk too much about skateboards.  Sorry.

.

Also the sizes are shown in this post, so there are a few options here:

Krooked  8.25 Full SE and 8.5 longer
Antihero 8.25 regular and 8.5 shorter
Real 8.38 and 8.5 shorter

* Decided to just screen shot the second frame with the details on it instead of typing them all out in full.

Your regular decks aren’t going anywhere. The DBX decks are meant for people who are heavier or break boards frequently. As of now, there are only two logo decks [in 8.5” and 8.25”] per brand, aside from a GT one in the summer.
