feel exactly like most other vulc shoes out there aside from the wide toebox. 6.5mm stack and comes with 4mm insole

I haven't tried Strike Movement yet but the owner is an ex-snowboarder and skateboarder so that's a good sign. My main concerns are that I highly question how well the synthetic suede holds up over time. And they are so expensive it's crazy. They also aren't super wide. They are like what a typical wide maybe extra wide shoe size is, which is not wide enough IMO.

They won't fit my foot, here's my foot on top of 1010s

If you can afford them and only need a little bit of extra width then the Strike movement shoes are probably good. The cost is just crazy for a skate shoe and especially since they're using synthetic material that you don't really know how it's going to last.

The Splays are a really great shoe the ONLY downside is they made the toebox entirely out of canvas. There is a layer of rubber underneath but I had a hole burned through the kickflip spot in a month of less than an average amount of skating for me.

I emailed them detailed feedback and begging them to make a suede toebox shoe and they actually replied and seemed receptive. They have several skateboarders working at the company. I actually have hope that future models will be better.

Since this is literally the only shoe out there that fits my foot, I ended up cutting some scrap suede and gluing it over the high wear areas. I'm now going into my third month and I expect to be able to stretch them to last through this month and maybe even get a 4th month.

I'll also say that for the first month I skated I didn't do any treatment to them because I wanted to see how they would hold up without doing anything. I'm still on the original laces and I still haven't had to glue the laces at all. The laces have lasted longer on these than any other shoe i've used. Usually i have to replace and glue the laces several times. The bottoms are holding up well.

For my next pair, if they still haven't released a suede version, i'm going to treat heavily with shoe goo / KG's boot guard in advance. I'm probably just going to cap the entire toe box area in KG's boot guard or Tuff Toe. I expect they'll hold up even better when treated in advance.

If you have wide feet or just want your toes to be able to spread out naturally, then this is pretty much the only option for you. I expect in the future more shoes will be shaped like this because it lets you use your foot to the fullest extent. There's only downsides to having your toes squeezed together.

The Strikes look ok, but the price keeps me from trying them as 'skate shoes' next time  I go to buy some gym shoes I'll pick some up (they never seem to have sales/codes).
