My thoughts: Joa had the best part. Is gifted hater famous for being a slap poster? I think I’ve seen that user name here but I don’t really remember and haven’t heard that user name otherwise.

Best song was a Miley Cyrus remix. Jerry, Ryan, Glick all had some chill tricks.
Most of the songs were not my taste.
It was nice to watch but I would probably only want to rewatch Joa and the Shared Arin/Jerry part.

Watched last night. Need to process it with another watch but joa, arin/jerry, lay, and glick had my favorite stuff. Don’t know if this was an influence but the shot of them in the truck together and the titles and aesthetic made me think of the first death wish full length

is it just me or did Corey click used to skate better? How old is the lad? he shouldn't be slowing down yet! He hasn't topped his souvenir part and that was 6 or 7 years ago.

I felt like Corey and Ryan didn’t want to show everyone up in the video so they kinda filmed with a homie video vibe.

Ryan is 35 or so and is skating great for that age range. Corey prob just looked at Dakota servold’s career and decided skating fun spots while on an eclectic team is way better for the future than hurling yourself down huge shit while riding bro style grip tape. Dude is on vans so he’ll be fine.

The influence of skaters have always been big for me. I was at the outlets yesterday and finally looked at the Merrell store when I never did. There was not one shoe in there I would consider a skate shoe and the fact that he skates in them is even more wild for me.

i really dont think joa is going to "go pro" from this. and yes he is much taller than expected.

music was rough to listen to in this video but thats subjective so ill just say im getting old.. handful of repeat spots made me think they shoulda filmed for another 6 months for this but there is certainly some good footage here, they all did some solid work. im looking forward to watching this at home and really dissecting it.

also heres a photo i took of jerry's merrells

alright i understand now - he will be called JOA from now on - this is clearly a seperate brand from the show. i dont really care for the show, but i am a big fan of the skater. probably the most memorable clips of the video for me. Its like the disney-eque transformation that Spanky went through to become Kevin Long.

It wasn't until Dime did a collab with them a couple years ago that I started paying attention to them. They're my favorite hiking shoes. If you can find a GTX pair of Moab 3s on sale like I did you'll be hooked.

In The Nine Club Jerry said that the video will be online in their own youtube -channel about two weeks after the premiere.

So maybe end of this week?

As someone that really loved Corey's Souvenir part I don't think anything he did after really compares and IMO his part in Endless Beauty was interesting, but not as strong as I hoped for. Still really enjoyable and I did t pay too close of attention to his boards but I wonder if he has some footage from late Foundation/pre Sci-Fi he isn't going to release or might do a vans part or something.

I didn’t mean it as a diss to Ryan if that’s how it came off, he has def put out parts that I really enjoyed, his age didn’t cross my mind but that’s a good point.

On another note, my shop had the video playing on a maybe 19 inch tv that was high up in a corner and I chose a seat that was too close and by the time Joas
Part was over, my neck was hurting from looking up and the rest of the video I was uncomfortable and in pain so that also might be a factor in my not being too into the video 😅

wouldn't get your hopes up, he had some injuries that changed his perspective and approach to filming: https://www.thrashermagazine.com/articles/corey-glick-s-star-moon-interview/

for what it's worth, his recent foundation parts are still really cool:

his part is good but, it’s definitely my least favorite of those. he does a pop shove it smith on a ledge and a pop shove it tail grab 180 out of a bank… no idea why. his ender was in the last thrasher.

I thought they both had excellent parts. Ryan is skating better than ever imo and has finally figured out his fit game in the latter part of his career. he's getting quite buck for being in his mid-30s (notable buck moments include a nollie back 50 down a hefty handrail and a switch backside flip down a sizeable double set) and Corey's footage felt pretty on par with the past few parts he's had (more creative skating on cool spots than the classic Foundation handrail assault of his early career). his ender is insane and i liked both parts a lot. Ryan skating to Young Thug was very sick.

I just think the whole vibe of the company and team is less focused on an intense production culture and more on creating a fun vibe that gets people hyped to skate and hang out with their friends (not derogatory), so skaters like Ryan and Corey who may have been doing bigger handrail and gap skating earlier in their careers probably don't have much incentive to do that anymore (and it's hard to keep doing that shit into your 30s). this video was very effective at communicating that vibe of skating for fun and hanging out with your friends with a cool aesthetic (while also featuring some really cool, creative, and high level skating) and I don't think anyone was holding back at all, they were just skating together and having a good time making a video. I don't mean for this to be misinterpreted as thinking that people weren't trying, because everyone definitely showed out, just that there's probably a team management culture on the opposite end of the spectrum from something like a Jamie Thomas mid 2000s Zero vibe

Dude, I initially read that as “pop shuv smith on a ledge pop shuv tailgrab 180 out into a bank”, like tech-ledge shuv smith shuv tailgrab 180, as if it was some weird parallel “shovey tailgrab” universe fully flared type shit, I was TRIPPING. And then I re read it. However if anyone out there has got pop shove it smith grind on a ledge pop shove it tail grab 180 into a bank, I would LOVE to see it.

im probably lying

great video, feels like everything shouldn't work as well together as it does? the whole thing strikes me as really special and a perfect encapsulation of the brand, skating was great and i got a few laughs out of the whole thing as well. (as i'm typing this i realize there's a lot of bronze/late nite stars editing influence in here)

ryan had my favorite part, no idea how anyone could watch that and say "he's slowing down," he skates fast as fuck and does everything so proper, i'm so glad he's finally getting his flowers twenty years after filmbot files

i get that people want to see corey glick skate big rails again but i love that i genuinely have no idea what he's going to do from clip to clip, skate IQ through the roof

would have loved a little more akwasi but i dug what they did with his footage. also thought it was a perfect amount of arin, if anything there were one or two jerry clips i would have cut. jerry's mini-hammers part was so good though

joa's part isn't for me but you can't say he didn't come through. need another rewatch to take in gabbe/zak/max's parts, max in particular didn't do much for me but his last five or so tricks were very surprising. curious as to why jerry hooked up these guys instead of (or in addition to) matt militano and conor charleson, if the video has any downside it's that neither of those guys were featured

anyways gonna go buy a sci-fi hat and help these guys stick around for a little longer

I want to restate - don’t care about Glock skating rails. What made me really take notice was him doing weirder stuff like that wallie 270 noseblunt and then talking about shove it losi’s in newest thrasher so it sounds like I’m going to like this part.   Shorts skater GOAT

I don’t think that’s quite right. Matt King/Gene Bellanger released Hoephase around the same time as 56k dropped. Definitely share influences with Peter Sidlaukas, but they’ve been on their own shit forever.
