I don't know the origin of Spanky's nickname but I think there is a difference between that and self-proclaimed "Gifted Hater".

Not to mention the flyers and promo for the Sci Fi part have his real name listed, not the nickname.

idk why board and shoe brands stopped doing physical media. no way it costs a lot to buy a couple thousand blank DVD's and just throw the exported mp4 on to it. shit even having one of your in house graphic designers make a title/menu screen and cover art cant be that hard either. look at what quasi just did with BOBCBC. that was a blu ray and it sold out IMMEDIATELY! so whats stopping these other companies

Jerry does make actual photo books with phone pictures, seems some type of hard copy of the dvd even if very limited would sell to its fan base.

The Bob video had music from one of BDK's friends. I'm guessing the tightening of music rights legal issues is whats stopping them. Youtube is more lax as long as you are willing to give up the monetization rights to the musicians.

the speakers were so loud it made it hard to hear the audio. that was enjoyable in it's own way though, definitely added to the atmosphere. also ryan said boston was the best turn out yet by far. shout out to the mass skate scene!

music was rough to listen to in this video but thats subjective so ill just say im getting old.. handful of repeat spots made me think they shoulda filmed for another 6 months for this but there is certainly some good footage here, they all did some solid work. im looking forward to watching this at home and really dissecting it.

Yeah, they could've cut out a couple of the clips, Joa's part was good but sensory overload there.

On the music, that'll definitely throw people off, surprising choices, and I liked how that Miley Cyrus song got tweaked quite a bit to match the edit.

The team really fucked up that half-circle fountain spot.

I caught the Boston premier. Non-Spolier Short impressions: Massive turnout, not much space to move around. Jerry led a AKwasi Bday sing-along. Fun. The sound was jacked, audio was played at an earsplitting volume but you could also really hear the board hit the ground with a lot of emphasis so that was good. Halfway thru I realized I usually don't stand for skate videos but whatevr. I enjoyed everyone's part thought it fit the sci fi vibe having fun, sorta internet future artsy shit, showcasing different types of skating with edits and transitions that lean into some of the recent board drop art if yer into that sorta thing. Keeping it non spoiler here so I won't mention specific parts I dug but I'll be glad when this drops on the net so I can appreciate at comfortable volume sitting on my ass. Between this and the Back to School Skate/ Hardcore Jam featuring Boston Hardcore ala Haywire, Death Before Dishonor and others Orchard has been killing it lately. Big up.
