I can't understand anyone's interest in a skaters truck sponsor
i try not to overthink this too much because i imagine a lot of guys will just take what they can get, and lets be honest there is not a ton of difference at the end of the day, i think a pro could get used to any of them.
Bobby Worrest switching from Indy to Venture kinda proves this point, cause those two trucks skate completely different from one another
Joslin broke the Venture trucks on El Toro and switched to Indy (imo both those examples make more sense for the type of skater they are)
I have used all the trucks except slappy and was pretty easy for me to switch between them
Indy i feel like doesnt really have any downside to me other than shitty marketing. I do like a slightly harder bushing than the stock but i can use the stock. It is kinda what I am most used to also.
Lurpiv has a couple downsides. The kingpin catches really easily, and they are honestly kinda TOO wobbly. You cant get replacement bushings either. The bushings are really good though and I could tighten them up a bit.
Ace the only downside for me is they sit a bit lower than what I am used to and that could potentially mean easier wheelbite but I havent had any problem with that. They dont seem too wobbly either.
Thunder I feel dont turn ENOUGH, and also the bushings seem shitty. 2/2 sets i had torn bushings and i did not crank at all.
Thunder T2 however the bushings seem better, and I like the way those turn quite a bit, possibly even better than indy. but having such a pushed in geometry can make it feel hard to find boards that will pair well.
Venture I feel dont turn enough, and also the extreme of having the geometry being so pushed out can make it hard to find boards to match just in the opposite direction. not a deal breaker for me in either case.
I could use any of them again but I have my top 3 I will probably just stay within
