Scarecrow kinda felt like Antihero in a Ben Cooper halloween costume, so it was one of my favorite companies.

Kinda sucks, I thought their stuff was lame back when they were still around, I was super into the fresh/tech scene.
Then years later I started to really appreciate them but they were gone.

I asked Jim Gray a few years ago on IG what the chances were for a Scarecrow revival and he said pretty good but nothing ever came of it 😕

Scarecrow definitely deserves a thread here:

Thanks for posting. I somehow managed to never see the Scarecrow video before. Thom Hornung and Jason Adams were on a fucking tear in this.

Yeah they definitely were.
And another:

I can’t believe that I missed out on seeing these Scarecrow videos back in 1997. They’re fucking great.
Did Ben Horton just skate for Scarecrow or was he also doing some of their graphics back then?

I’m pretty sure he was am for them and Pope was doing the graphics.
Any history nerds have the definitive facts?

Yeah the vids were great. I’m tempted to put up the first Creature vid since Scarecrow came after they folded but pretty much the majority of the team stayed on but under a new name/distribution.

*Edit
Fuck it here’s pretty much proto Scarecrow vid:

I was a HUGE Scarecrow fan. I was at Radlands in 95 and Jamie Thomas told me and my friends about this new company that Russ Pope was doing called Scarecrow. The next day at the contest Tony Cox had a Scarecrow shirt on and I ended up buying it off him. Wore that thing for years, maybe even still have it in storage somewhere. I loved both of the videos and it was even one of the very first companies that I pitched graphic ideas to.  I feel like Russ was ahead of his time on this one.

I don’t have anything to add but the Mike v appreciation thread being the last posted in here bothers me
