Someone do the math - for every trick there are 4 variations (regular, nollie, switch, fakie), equating for 250 unique tricks. Are there that many tricks in existence?

Walker Ryan did one down a 10 in that single-spot part he put out last year or so

I still feel like even with all the cancel, under, late etc thrown in this should be mathematically impossible, but if anyone can do it its him and he seems very confident

There are literally an infinite number of trick variations, so 1000 is definitely possible. If anyone can hit 1000 it's him.

Start with as many 'basic' tricks as you can imagine, ()

Then you can add additional spins (fs or bs), additional shuvs (fs or bs), additional body varials (fs or bs), add additional flips (x2/3/4), additional cancels/underflips/rewinds/crossfoots, additional late tricks (kickflips, heelflips, fs shuvs, bs shuvs, one-foots, varials, underflips, literally anything.)

You can compound these with each other and multiply the number even further.

Then another x4 for all stances on top of that number. The actual limit is probably upwards of like 4k+


Edit: Did a little math since I had too much time to kill at work. I'm sure this is flawed but you get the idea. Obviously there is an upper limit to what is feasible, nobody is doing Blizzard Flip Late Flip Reverts, etc.... But the variations make the numbers multiply very quick.

He posted some ssbs3s outtakes on his insta story, all fully rotated. No idea why he didn't use any of those but i guess the one in the video is more 'stable/clean' and the way he can actually do them every time. So perhaps he wants to put in the tricks the way he does them instead of the 'ideal/proper' way, just to stay true to his skating.

Shane did it at that melbourne museum gap, shane goes ender iirc. Walker ryan has also has done them often.

ssbs3s is one of those special tricks that only a few can do. A calling card to other good skaters, a small special club only for the elite.

I have done a similar list a couple of years ago. and realized for myself there are "only" 50 tricks I really want to to, and 50 foolish dork tricks which woud be funny to do - but then flat skateboarding is over.
