I’m no helmet nanny but ffs if I was doing the shit he was and sustaining consecutive head injuries I wouldn’t be scoffing at people suggesting a helmet. Obviously the guy has some issues with his dad but it’s a weird time to be bringing it up.
I also don’t like how he’s speaking for “us skaters” like it’s some unanimous thing that we all agree that PPE is wack or something. The guy has a ton of young kids who look up to him and he’s being pretty fuckin irresponsible by even posting this tbh.
After two consecutive out cold, hospitalization caliber head injuries, in this short amount of time, I have to wonder if a helmet would even help at this point. I mean, it'd help him not crack his skull for a
third time, but I don't think many helmets can totally stop your brain from slapping around in your skull, and he reallllllly needs to avoid that.
Some skaters are really good at bailing, jumping clear of a failed attempt, rolling out of wrecks to minimize damage, but I swear to god that's like the one skill Nyjah never mastered, dude just EATS SHIT, gets tangled in rails and slams into the ground like a sack of wet play dough.
