Ave on Chat GPT confirmed.
This isn't just a video-sharing platform, it's skaters expanding what media can be. It's skate culture taking its vibrant history of pushing boundaries to experiment with what could be, not just what already is. Not only is it incredible, it's a testament to how AVE is a skater that gives back to his community, breaks ground with new technology, and sees into the future.

Someone saw how Tidal took over the music industry and thought let’s replicate model for stuff people aren’t paying for

Name is buns.   I can kinda get the “tape” reasoning, but it’s not catchy

I get the idea of aggregation for skate media but the den wanting me to pay for something I already get for free on YouTube kinda made it’s value prop non existent

i mean , we are able to watch every movie and show for free since torrent was invented (and listen to every music with p2p), but people still pay for streaming services. Some people pay for all of them.

True but thats also stuff we had to pay for before anyway, we’re just doing it in a different bulk package. Skate media might be the only form of media that went from paid to free without have to steal it. Which makes these services seem so dumb- people ain’t gonna start paying for something thrasher has been giving them for free for a decade . Berrics tried that already and well look where they are now.

Unless there are exclusive Griptape parts that get released. Man that sounds awesome.

It’ll be like the Jay B Sides Tidal concert that I recently rewatched on YouTube.

I don't think anyone will pay for digital skate vids.  I'd buy physical copies of full lengths, and 411vm(if they revived it).

And why come the teams out there just don’t do Patreon?  Subscribers get exclusive parts burned to DVD, interviews, a tee, and so on

Heard about this idea being pitched a couple months back by some industry guys but under the context that it was for independent filmers and contributing filmers to get paid for people watching their videos. The consensus was that it was a bad idea and would’ve just allowed companies to keep getting away with not paying people properly. This is somehow even worse lol. I could’ve sworn the Den was involved in the other concept tho? Anyone else hear about that?

I would have signed up for a griptape subscription for a sheet a month from Ave if he called his new griptape company, streaming service app, but not the other way around.

Maybe send subscribers a sheet of griptape a month with the streaming service?

Shit is wack, but I’m not surprised. Seems nobody has noticed that Ave follows Trump, RFK Jr. and the US Border Patrol among others on Instagram. His interests are questionable, to say the least.

How does his political opinion have anything to do with making a terrible app service

If we didn't already have YouTube for free

this is why its confusing

if you look at every aspect of youtube and then put all of the other platforms next to it to compare, the only difference is "skater owned?" Is that really enough for skateboarders to stop using youtube? When really skate filmers should probably start their own channels if they arent on retainer

but then you're using your friends to have a half assed channel

idk

Lol. Eldee is definitely a human. He’s like a raider on horse back who’s kinda scared to do battle. Somehow he closes his eyes and swings his sword wildly and wakes up in a pile of dead orcs.

Welp, decided to go though AVE’s follows as a result of this post. Yeah… no one who isn’t a right wing kook is following the stuff that he is. My tolerance for this shit is at an absolute zero at this point. People are being murdered and kidnapped in the streets by a fascist militia. Paging fuck that guy…

Oh yeah and this app is fucking stupid and clearly vibe coded with ai. Congrats on destroying all the good will people had toward you Ave
