Middle school aged skater style today is like pre-9/11 rollerbladers, it is true. They love skulls, spikes, nu-metal, big goofy pants with patches and dumb designs, etc. Whether you like it or not, the Zero aesthetic is in right now. Sorry, pals.

None of these kids have any fucking idea who rides for the company or what’s going on with them but a badass skull graphic with bloodstains would be the ultimate Christmas or birthday present

As a self-aware 40-year-old Zero is neither cool nor tough. But to a 12-year-old boy watching Dern Bros Youtube, Zero is tough as fucking nails.

Not to cool-guy here but honestly when I was 12 I definitely would have thought those Dern bros were dorks.

I agree mostly though, when I was a kid I thought Zero was cool based purely on the graphics and marketing. But the more I saw of Jamie Thomas and his weird “I go to a cool church” vibe I was out.
