I feel like he's the last one from the OG Mafia team to really be doing it or at least have a shoe sponsor. I do wonder if his career would have been bigger if he wasn't on Skate Mafia.

Tom Knox and Surrey part will be dope.

One of the best, most underrated dudes out. I always thought he was married to some professional rollerblader out there, but maybe I'm thinking of someone else (or that ended). (Not trying to press into someone's personal life, just surprised that wasn't a bigger thing since, going in, I expected some sort of dual-session thing).

Him and Gustav have to be best duo of technical skaters out (besides Alex & Flo). Throwback to this part with skinny-jeans Gustav:

Great video.
It’s nice to watch someone find a little peace of mind while throwing a pot.
Stoked for his upcoming video. Mfer has been tastefully tech and light-footed since day one:

Nice one! Been one of my favs for a minute. Looking forward to that shared part with knox. Hope its not a nb overproduction but more lowkey with a more 'artsy/atmospheric' vibe (if that makes sense).

I was skating arc the triumph in barca and he and gustav pulled up there as they often do. Tyler came and started a conversation with me and was really nice and everything. Been a fan since that day and he's crazy underrated. Best dude.

One of the best street skaters ever. Wild to see everything he was able to do at that park in a single session. A part with Tom Knox sounds cool but I'm really hoping for another VX Barcelona one at some point

He should have an Atlantic Drift part with Knox.

I'm fearing for a mojoless, clean-cut NB# part with shitty landfill music.

Agree, NB should really think about change their video aesthetic, it’s always like watching a commercial on TV.

Their aesthetic has been that way since the Russell Houghton drone days.  I don’t mind it - I like a sense of import and videos having different styles.    Sometimes you want Spielberg, sometimes you want Mike Leigh

New Balance’s vibe is about being handmade a lot of the time, Made in the U.K., Made in the U.S.A…..what sets them apart from Nike, Adidas etc.

So overly commercial videos don’t really make that much sense to be honest.

Your reply has nothing to do with what I said since you're talking about where the product its made and I'm talking about skate videos. If to you making the crispiest HD video ever with a casual elevator song in the background is not overly commercial, then I don't know man, to each their own.

It is for Numeric.   They might have once or twice done a Made In but that’s not a Numeric thing, just like collabing with Kawhi and releasing a basketball shoe into skate shops is a one time cross brand thing.

I don’t know where the Muzak thing comes from.  Intervals had Ghostface, Tom petty and siouxsie

should come up way more often in the bunt rapid fire "most talented skateboarder on planet earth", dude can really do anything. he's not an especially marketable skater, doesn't have much of an edge and dresses pretty nondescriptly and i think that contributes to how underrated he's been for most of his career. like when he comes up, everyone only has good things to say about him but it seems like he's never top of mind for anyone. all that considered he's had a pretty good career and seems to have been able to pay the bills with skating for 2 decades, no doubt in large part due to a New Balance check. hope he keeps it up for years to come because any footage from him is a blessing.

Agree. Same can be said for most of the talent on Sk8mafia (Wes, Tyler, Alexis). They must have some sort of curse. Toby Ryan seems to have much more coverage after leaving to Real.
