Snot wheels move to chop chop price increase $4/$6
« on: April 28, 2026, 09:27:51 PM »
Announced that snot wheel co will be moving into baker boys. While snot was a wheel of choice for myself new order forums have drastic price increase from $20 to $26 and will now come from chop chop via china. One of the highlights on the original snots were USA urethane. Thoughts on if it will just be another china wheel. Felt different than others originally

If you want to American formula,
Just get Autobahns. They even have a wide boy.

edit:
So the boogerthane are definitely autobahn IMO, but IDK If autobahn is AEND

Andrew Cannon said that the Valini wheel where made in texas, so that's HLC(formally AEND). I think that's Cherries wheels and some other brands.

2 parts only one related to the thread, so, sorry about that

1. Never ridden autobahn wheels, what is the consensus?
2. HLC makes trucks too, anyone have information on them?

I dont really like the Aend formula, a lil too chalky and don’t slide well enough for my taste, at least the older ones, I’m not sure if HLC came in and changed formulas but from the cherries that have come from there that I’ve seen  they are still using that Coke White formula on the harder wheels

I haven’t thought about autobahn for long time but used to be good wheels. Company had good team and good art direction imo
Darkstar used to make fucking good wheels too funnily enough

I am all for competition but I feel at this point spitfire has dialled it in too well
No point skating anything but f4 classics or conical fulls these days
I heard Powell or somebody got some dragon wheels or some shit but I don’t care, I won’t try them

iron trucks? they were kinda shitty from what i’ve seen, never had a pair but they were kinda popular among beginners where i live (cheap + available locally) and a lot of them had that issue where the metal around the bolts would crack and fall off

I am currently a 99 XFormula convert, but always looking for new wheels to try. Speedlab just dropped a new formula, and I like there regular 97s, so if the make a wheel in the right size, I might try them.  Sml. wheels AG formula is suppused to be a Darkstar replacment, IIRC!

For what is worth, they have new model since 3 or 4 years that looks like and indy/slappy truck. They turn better and they improved the durability. I have some friends at HLC that ride them with no complaints. It's an option if you want made in europe trucks and/or don't have much money.

Aend has two formulas and three stock shapes:

https://mfg.hlcdist.com/wp-content/uploads/catalogos/hlc-oem-catalogue-skateboard.pdf

Originally Snot was through Creative as well as some SML. Creative was acquired by Aend and continued to operate as Creative for a few years until being fully absorbed by Aend.
Aend will produce other shapes and colors if the minimum order meets a certain quantity.
Cherries is through Aend for sure.
It’s possible that Speedlab is through them too but I don’t know for sure.
Cones has the “butters” formula AKA “Superthane +” which we’ve labeled “Demolition Pro Formula” in 56mm conical wide and 53mm classic shape. The classic shape is pretty flat on the sides so more like a Bones V1 shape than a Spitfire classic.

Does aend make full circle (autobahn/cadilac)

Snot boogerthane - autobahn cores
Wideboys - widebody
X-rays snot - cadilac cloud cruisers

Seems like too much of a coincidence to me for them to be different manufacturers.

I couldn’t say for sure on any of those. I only shared what I’m 99% certain about.
I do know that it’s not uncommon to source a “cruiser “ type wheel from a different manufacturer if a certain brand is looking for a particular shape.
So if I had a certain cruiser shape/size/duro in mind I would try to source it from somewhere that may have it as a “stock” item first as it would be less expensive to produce.

I have a HLC cork top complete with those trucks and some 90a wheels. It's one of those like 14in long x 8.25in baby boards. It's an incredibly fun cruise. The trucks are really surfy, I think it has softer, child friendly, bushings.

There's two different ones available here https://skatemenu.com/collections/iron
Only one thin pair of the Venture looking ones.

I'll try to reshape an old HLC pressed board to a reverted snub nose one and I was cracking up that with the Irons and Mosaic wheels (that I've already been eyeing on) I'd have pretty much a whole HLC setup. Honestly pretty stoked about an all EU board.

Only one thin pair of the Venture looking ones.

I'll try to reshape an old HLC pressed board to a reverted snub nose one and I was cracking up that with the Irons and Mosaic wheels (that I've already been eyeing on) I'd have pretty much a whole HLC setup. Honestly pretty stoked about an all EU board.

fwiw hlc sent a sample set of the off-white "butter formula" wheels in 98a a couple years back to the shop i used to work at and they were a lot better than i expected, huge upgrade from their old coke white wheels. if the price is good i'd definitely give them a shot, i'm thinking about getting some too when i run out of wheels

edit: i can't find any of their 98a wheels for sale, but they have a bunch of 99a wheels. they sent a little catalog with the wheels and it said that both the 98a and 99a are the new formula, the color is a match too
