I think the people saying they’re underwhelmed are just saying this is less technically spectacular than prior footage he’s put out, which is probably true, but it’s clear he’s skating in a more Quasi than Primitive mode now, which is fine. He’s young and super talented and putting out great stuff, this part included.

It's extremely polished and well rounded without overdoing anything. Kickflip back smith on super high bump to rails are always classic and then you get random shit like fakie double flip fakie manny and he manages to make bland So Cal spots look great. That long back tail over the stairs is pretty crusty and you can't dislike that trick. He's just getting started.

This man is up there with the best styles on a board.  The switch flip back tail reminded me of Danny Garcia.

Almost the entire part was filmed in Thunders. I wonder why he  made this bad choice to ride for indy.

First song gave me anxiety but then it paid off in the end.

We all know he can fakie flip off the moon but I was unaware of his fakie heel prowess.

On rewatch, what sticks out to me is how light he looks on his board. Even big drops sometimes just look like he's popping off a curb. What a gift

Funniest one was the back smith on that rail against the wall was on Thunders and is the newest Indy ad.

Idk Blanck Mass is incredible and I like the project better than Fuck Buttons but agree that any new music from either of them would be appreciated.

Also random that he doesn’t have a single Nollie trick in the part. Wonder if it’s an Achilles heel or coincidence.

not enough love on the opening clip - FLOATED

and the sw nose manny flip out on that monstrosity of a pad - very skate more-era daewon of him

Floated and goated. The sw nose many flip out was maybe my favorite trick in the part. Don’t know if the world is ready for him to start abusing imperfect spots like that. Well deserved hype.

I somewhat agree, but I do think it's partially he was skating way more crusty spots. Which probably reduces how crazy/tech you are willing to get on them. While, I always enjoy seeing guys push skating to the limit on perfect Cali ledgers, Barca, or brand new spots in China, etc., I personally enjoy seeing guys skating way more crusty spots in spots in the Northeast, midwest or London. May just be that I grew up in a city which has good spots, but a ton of rough as shit ones or hard to hit (Toronto) so I relate to it more. And, when he hit those Cali iconic spots in Cali, like Rincon and the Courthouse he absolutely killed them.

I was just thinking that it shows where Nike is at because they don't really seem to elevate this guy.....compared to like what they did with Mason a few years back or Nicole.

I was expecting some sort of Dylan Reider Gravis part which was super unrealistic.....still enjoyed it and seeing Chad Bower's  name in the credits and thinking how Jaeb skated for Zero and then Primitive, I'm guessing this is probably a better spot for the guy.

I'm gonna get so kooked for this but my rep is shit anyways.

I think the banter on here about Jaebing got to him so bad that he replaced an authentic (if somewhat imbecilic) facial expression of joy with a much more contrived and obnoxious "afterbang" where he sticks his neck and chin forward and pulls the shoulders back. It's definitely the most "indie rock" steeze I've seen since Dylan's elbow dab but it just feels much more fake to me and I can't unsee it. He does it on almost every rollaway.

Is this really how people watch video parts these days?  I just watch, enjoy, get stoked, then go skate.  A part like this I'll watch again because he just floats and makes everything look so good.

I love when really good pro people skate almost exclusively random spots I've never seen before. I'll take all these back alley loading docks over any "Burns Down SF!" part.

I’m too impressed with most of the tricks to even notice something like that.

If he smiles, he gets shit on, but if he doesn’t smile, he gets shit on for something else. People looking for shit to complain about should start YouTube channels and review Torey Pudwill parts.

A better technical skater than Jaeb in every which way.

I was hoping to see him doing more lines. An entire part of just 1 and 2 trick clips is not what showcases the talent of a skater like Jaeb.

Wow, I've lurked for years and seen all sorts of hot takes, but this one is pretty next level. They skate so different I don't know if they can really be compared, but I'd love to see Emile do a single one of Jaeb's manual or flip in/out ledge combos. I really would bc with his hairball style it would look super entertaining.

I think there’s a combination of better filming (not the shoe face clip face shoe youtube reels) and Jaeb skating at a level that has exited the ‘we make it look easy’ realm and looks like he was legit battling for some of these clips. That’s all anyone wants to see is someone going all in. Make whatever face you want.

Was this full throttle Jaeb? Hard to believe when it looks so effortless. Whatever he’s doing it’s working and the part was fucked.
