Former teasing new rider

Dane (founder) had a semi recent podcast where he said former can’t afford to really do anything. Someone had asked if a local Ventura surfer would join the team and Dane essentially said “that’d be great but we can’t like fly him anywhere or do anything for him”.

I understand there’s more money in surfing than skating but, whoever joins, ain’t doing it for the check

I don't think there is more money in surfing. That might have been true when surf fashion was in, but there's way less surfers than skateboarders.

Really they would all fit if Former had the budget, but I think it’s Berle (Friends with Austyn now, surfs with the Ventura guys, has the sponsors that board leads us to believe. Also Curren has been riding egg shapes for the most part.
