Drinking Hopocalypse right now. It's good, but a little malt heavy in the flavor for my taste. I wish with more double ipas they just said fuck balance, this is going to be excruciatingly hoppy. Haven't tried Dr. Tongue yet, but sounds interesting. Not a big Bootlegger's fan, but Knuckle Sandwich is great.

Obviously not beer, but....

This is always the first pint of the night regardless. Live in Ireland so its always(most the time)perfect!

Beerwise...

Super cheap, 8 cans/tins for 10 euros, more than substantial before you hit the pub!

Last thing I expected to see in here was karpackie. Certainly the best of the 6 for 8's.

Not really cool micro brews or anything but Delerium Tremens and Stone IPA are both amazing. I've always liked really strong biting flavors, even when I was a kid I hated mayo but loved the weird strong mustards and sauerkraut my dad would buy. Ranger is good but doesn't have that edge that Stones pale ale does. Delerium Tremens is just insane. If I was loaded I would drink a snifter with every meal.

Hell yeah man. I love everything I've had from Delirium. I stopped by the Delirium Village when I was in Brussels. It's an awesome experience-wish I could have spent more time there.

I really like Stone too but I'm not a huge IPA fan and it seems like that's all they keep putting out. Their IPAs outnumber their porters and stuff (I love their vanilla and chocolate porters though).

i hear you dude. i'm a big fan of craft beer but cant stand the hop war that is the san diego beer scene. as you said, stone does come out with some cool non-hoppy stuff. try their vertical epic series, russian imperial stouts, and old guardian (barleywine).

That's borderline pornographic. I found a 2010 pack at this shitty corner store near my place a few months back, couldn't believe my luck
also if you read my whole facebook timeline from back in 2007 then this will also prove that magic is real.

This is one that I'm looking forward to trying. Local brewery.

I'm not too picky with beer when it's at a party but when I buy my own it has to be Corona. Kingfisher is second best, to me, but it's more expensive and I don't know where it's from. I never bothered to look it up.

What's your favorite beer?

Got some of this and thought the "Brewed with Oysters" bit was a joke but the bottle and website claim it http://flyingdogales.com/introducing-pearl-necklace-oyster-stout/...

I don't really get how oysters would ever be involved in the brewing process so I am kind of confused about it.  Anyways' it's pretty good if you like stouts and there isn't really anythin crazy about the flavor that I can tell.

http://www.foodrepublic.com/2012/12/27/getting-know-oyster-stout-beer-made-oysters

A quick google search gave me this and then I went ahead and looked up this beer for your reading pleasure

http://www.wynkoop.com/beer-blog/item/172-update-on-rocky-mountain-oyster-stout-cans

Nice, thanks for that.  Blows me away that they drop oysters into the wort when they are brewing, that shit just sounds nasty but the review seems to be in line with my opinion that it just tastes like a good stout and you don't really catch any oyster in the flavor.

But we?ve sampled a handful of oyster stouts that are widely available in the bottle ? and while not one was disappointing, we couldn?t help but notice that the oysters keep a low profile in a brawny, bitter stout. That is, you cannot taste the oysters. At best, you may detect a faint ?marine? essence.

Flying Dog Pearl Necklace Oyster Stout
At 5.5 percent ABV, this one, made in Maryland with whole oysters from Rappahannock River Oysters, in Virginia, drinks like a traditional stout ? roasty, toasty, delicious and malty, with a lovely butter-toffee finish as the bitterness fades. The oyster, as many of us know, is a faintly flavored creature, and its effects in the Pearl Necklace seem to add up to little more than a great beer name.

This is a new beer company started by one of my close friends.  They started halfway through last year and are probably coming to a town near you.  Blowing up.  If you find it, drink it.  Their Saison style Prairie ale is excellent and award-winning.  The Oatmeal stout, aged in whiskey barrels, is intense with notes of fruit and coffee.  Good stuff.  Do it.

I dig all the Unibroue stuff that I've tried. I feel like a demon drinking that stuff. Trois Pistoles and Terrible are also great beers.

Recently I've been addicted to Sixpoint Resin. That sticky icky.
