budweiser all day

This is where the adults post, get the fuck out.

I've been on a tight budget lately, so those Boatswain double IPA's have been the standard around the house. Thanks for the heads up.

edit: Has anyone tried Simtra triple IPA? I found out my liquor store gets it every so often, curious to try it.

sippin on this right now after a long work week, it is similar to that pranQster i had recently with a little bit of fruityness and lots of carbonation, i like it a lot. might pick up a "self righteous ale" from Stone tomorrow from my work when i pick up my check, anyone had it yet? is it good?

best CDA around, apart from wookey jack. the 4 pack is better value than the bombers, too.

ill be honest max, i had to google CDA last night and i still didnt know exactly what to expect. all my work had was the bomber for $6.49 but atleast i got my 15% discount. I really like it so far, its a strong flavor but it doesnt linger around and its not too bitter, i was surprised how fruity it smelled being so dark too. floop, i have to start trying firestones, seeing as you praise them fairly often on here. oh yeah and im still trying to find a proper tulip glass at a thrift store so thats why i only use my snifter for the time being.

you'll find that darker beers tend to have more fruit notes than expected. Most of the time raisin, dates and such

Budweiser uses corn and rice as adjuncts for barley. Its hardly beer. Go feed the ducks.

hell yeah ^ have you tried their union jack ipa?

the restaurant I work at just asked me to expand their beer menu. currently we have:

Founders centennial ipa

Founders breakfast stout

Stone sublimely self ritcheous

ommegang rare vos

a few lambics/ etc.

any recommendations for any more sessionable ales for the warmer months to come floop? I'm thinking dales pale ale/ 60 minute ipa/ and maybe anchor steam

An apology, no, but I do regret not knowing this twerp before writing that comment. I still stand by my previous statement, while I do enjoy high end beers, I will always have a soft spot for Rolling Rock/ PBR they have never done me wrong

about 2 years ago I got my dad turned onto drinking good beers. He's always had a fridge full of beer in the basement, mostly whatever he could afford, Golden Anniversary, then Budweiser, and Bud Light. He went through a Guinness spell for a year or so. Now he's still got the BL, but only an 18 as opposed to 2 30 racks. I looked in there this weekend and we had some

Founders Dirty Bastard
Sierra Nevada BigFoot Barleywine
Laguintas Brown Shugga Substitute
Founders Breakfast Stout
Sierra Nevada Ruthless Rye
a couple bombers of Arrogant Bastard

it's a good looking fridge

I also drank a Goose Island Bourbon County stout which was fucking potent!

No hard feelings. Tecate is my go to, PBR if I'm really broke.

Edit: Drinking some Wookie Jack for the first time right now, HOLY SHIT it's smooth. So good.

As soon as i cracked it and smelled the brew i knew i was gonna like it. Thanks for the indirect recommendation floop. i cant wait to try more Firestone, especially the Wookey. im trying to get on your level haha.

nice one.  for my money (and as far as what I've had so far) Double Jack is up there among the best double IPA's

I felt the same way, as soon as I smelled it I knew it was going to be amazing, and the taste lives up to the smell

it's definitely got that grapefruit, pine, floral thing going on, like Pliny or Mongo

Budweiser is still better though.  just kidding

Real Men drink beer, but only between shots. Real Men don’t care about microbreweries. Real Men drink budweiser. Real Men only drink beer that tastes like diluted piss, and is brewed by a massive corporation.

Real men are old enough to buy their own beer.

Now shut your fucking mouth and let the real men talk about real beer.

got a day off tomorrow and had a long fuckin day at work so i decided to crack this bad boy. its pretty tasty. its 9.4% and you can tell its strong but its not overbearing at all. on an unrelated note i had another Boatswain Double IPA last night and after drinking a lot of better quality IPAs that shit tasted pretty bad, almost like apple juice with a gnarly alcohol burn. am i becoming a beer snob guys? jk, no im not. but im definitely able to taste the difference in quality now which is cool. Beer nerd levels are rising.
