if you can get velvet merkin, i would advise it.

just got a few bottles over the weekend

i've had it before at Barrelworks.

it's nice to have a barrel-aged imperial stout from them that isn't 12%.  don't get me wrong, i love all their beers, but breaking out one of those on a weeknight is more of a commitment, dome wise

tried these two recently, both dark but also both very smooth. also tried an angry orchard hard cider and couldn't finish it cause it was disgusting, same thing with a shock top apple. gross. first two "beers" I haven't finished in a long time.

Had two over the weekend that full on, grabbed my attention:

Uinta Brewing Hop Notch
Avery Brewing duganA IPA

Both were phenomenal beers. The duganA is a double and is a citrus bomb. The Hop Notch is one of the fullest, tastiest IPA's I've had in a while. I'm a pretty big fan in general of IPA/APA style beers.

Nice looking label. When you say it's dark, was it a dark amber, porter, or stout? Something along any of those lines?

old viscosity is really good.  you should try older viscosity some time.  the barrel aged version.  it's expensive but amazing.  closest thing i've had to Bourbon County Stout thus far in my drinking career

in other news i'm drinking this (2012).   love this beer.  for sentimental reasons, and because it's a fucking great imperial stout

Bell's Best Brown Ale.

Sierra Nevada Flipside Red IPA.

Both perfect this Fall season.

Had a Firestone Walker barrel aged DBA last night at a local pub (105 on tap :O ), fucking phenomenal. I really need to get some variety into my life. Working at a brewery is a blessing and a curse. On one hand free beer/ saving money on the other hand same beer time and time again woof

I have ODell Myrcenary on the docket for tonight.

I tried Ithaca Flower Power last night. Started out REALLY promising, citrus hop bomb. I thought, damn I am going to love this. But it finishes way too floral. Like drinking perfume. I couldn't even finish the bottle.

I honestly couldn't tell you, ive only had a couple stouts and haven't tried a porter before, its only 6.7% so not as strong as a stout I think? maybe it would be similar to an amber? it does say winter ALE?

That's perfect. I'm going to hit up the bottle store after work and look for this.

Hell yeah. Good look, brycickle. Thanks for the link.

They didn't have Jubelale at the local bottle store last night so I went with New Belgium Rampant Imperial IPA. I have a little banger this morning.

8.5abv sneaks up on you.

@Nallid - How'd you like that Flipside? It's one of my current favorites. Full on citrus bomb. I can honestly say I wasn't expecting it to taste like it did.

Last night I took it easy from the 'big beers'. Just had a few PBR and Rolling Rock.

It was good. I haven't been drinking a lot lately so 3 got me a buzz. Like you said it's really fruity, and I don't like fruity beers, but was hoppy enough to counter that. Would buy again.

Visiting my brother back East.

Stoked to finally try the breakfast stout. It was great. The two-hearted ale wasn't super fresh but was good. Out here a few more days, will report more.

Apparently we'll be getting founder's here in Nebraska come December. I'm pretty stoked on that.

took a six pack of batch 1919 to a party and it was good, got me nice and drunk but it was super heavy on the stomach.  I cant really drink a six pack of craft brews or anything like that, even though i have tried time and time again.  I drink really fast and I end up getting super sick afterwards because Ive finished my six pack and bum coors light/bud light/pbr/beast ice from anyone willing to donate for a smoke
would you rather read an abudabi post or have a screwdriver shoved up your ass?
