Haven't had Hi-Res yet but it was awesome last year. Beast mode is a disappointment. I'm glad I didn't get a whole six-pack.

was up in Seattle for the weekend.  went to a few breweries, some i had been to and some hadn't.  Fremont seems to win, in my opinion.  Bourbon Abominable and Barrel Aged Coffee Darkstar are incredible.  they also do some solid IPAs

I'm not pumped on having to shovel it though.

The Citra Mantra is interesting. It's hoppy like an IPA, but has the malt qualities of a lager underneath. I'm not crazy about it but I can appreciate it.

I also picked up Maine Brewing's Lunch the other day. Has anyone had that? I'm excited to try.

I just came back from Portland. God damn they got way to many beer spots out there.

You said it, I live out here and when I visit the center of the country I'm always asking where you hiding the breweries? Then I realize I'm in Kansas, Iowa and North Dakota and feel dumb for what I just said.  Thank you for enjoying the Portland beer scene!

I had lunch not to long ago. I wasn't impressed really. I thought it was bland. I think it's super overrated just like Pliny. Some kid I know tried telling me its just as good as Heady. I was flabbergasted by his preposterous statement. As for the blizzard we barely got a foot. Fucking meteorologists.

Definitely this. I want to try Dinner but getting Maine stuff is pretty hard. Still waiting on Grapefruit Sculpin. Distro in Jersey sucks balls. Its at Hunterdon but they have yet to deliver it. Bummed that all the stores are going to limit it.

People who homebrew have been doing it for years. There are a few microbreweries who do it like these guys http://mirthprovisions.com/products/. But it's going to be limited to Washington and Colorado since they're the only states so far with recreational weed laws.

There is hemp beer out there.  It's actually cheaper than regular beer.

i think it's the opposite.  from what i've read about the subject, it's not really financially feasible to brew beer with pot.  though people have done it (home brewers [and probably home growers])..    the amount of weed that would be needed to impart any kind of flavor would cost too much money.  think about how much hops are used, even for smaller batch beers.  now imagine if that's all weed, and how much that would cost

on the subject tough, as weed and hops are in the same family, some beers naturally have a marijuana aroma.  Oskar Blues just came out with this session IPA that sounds interesting

I believe there's a beer infused with hemp sold in Amsterdam and Prague (although I can't seem to find the name online).

Went to the beer store this morning and just stared at the coolers. Decided on a 6 pack of Tallgrass 8 Bit.

Good choice. I can't get Tallgrass products here but had 8-Bit this past Summer when I was in Milwaukee.

I'm going to argue that Placebo owes their entire career to a Canadian dude's skate video part. Appleyard should be getting royalties for this shit.
