Crazy to see the amount of fathers here on slap... My fiance is in the middle of a divorce and we're getting married once it finalizes. She's actually gone to a court ordered parenting class right now. I basically got boot camped. She has three boys: 2, 5, and 7 years old. Because of my crazy medication, literally, I think it kept me from getting her pregnant. I switched to another medication that is working worlds better and she immediately got pregnant. So it looks like I will join the slap biological fathers club soon. Already have the parenting thing down.

I might as well post a pic of me with my kid. I am only 22, which is a bit young to be a parent, but shit happens. I wish I lived in the same city as her, so I could watch her grow.

I also am an oldie to the slap dads club. My little guy is going to be 4 in April. Things have been insanely busy since I got divorced 6 months ago. I have the little guy fulltime because his mom is too wrapped up in her career and school to be a active mom right now. We make do the best we can and I have a new girlfriend who helps me out a lot and loves my little guy tons.

congrats to all the dads, glad to see the skater dad presence on slap is growing. i still remember talking with mfs, sweets, vegan and spaniard on here about getting pregnant the first time.

The only guy I skate with somewhat regularly is this rad dad named Thad. He'll bring his 3/4 year old son from time to time with a cruiser board; it's awesome to see them sail around on that little thing, both smiling wide and hollering. Here's to all the rad dads.

There are a lot of rad dads out here too (some with teenagers even)... stoked to see the way skateboarding works with skating parents and kids, as opposed to non skating parents and kids... or parents that tend to either be soccer moms on the bleachers (that the rest of us lust over every once in a while) or skoaches. Fortunately most of the skoaches I've seen were in Baton Rouge and not here. Those clowns suck.

skoatches.. yeah. i have mixed feelings about them. i think it's cool if dads skate with their kids, and give them pointers / help them learn. but i'm not a fan of these dads who don't skate and then push their kids like they're a fucking wrestling coach.. or moms for that matter. i was at a park once and there was a pushy mom (and dad) skoatching their son and the mom was even more vocal. calling out tricks for him to do "backside disaster!" and like practically scolding him.

the whole idea of parents coaching their kids on skating is still weird to me. i guess because when we (speaking for old fucks like me) were skating that was just not something that was part of the fabric of skateboarding.. anyway, this should be in another topic really
