A couple weeks ago in Philadelphia, Focus magazine held a tradeshow. Alex Duke was there showing some of his art and making paintings. For those who don't know Alex, check out his site....www.toilettown.com....he's done alot of Consolidated graphics for the past few years and is an awesome dude who is just down to skate. At the show, Nick Merlino came up to Alex where he was showing a painting and spit blood on it. Alex confronted him and Merlino told him to Fuck off, so Alex focused his board. Merlino punched him in the face and had his friend tackle him to the ground. They kicked in his foot so hard, they fractured his ankle. Nick Merlino pretends to rep NJ so hard, and yet he fucks with one of the best dudes from NJ? Fuck that. I don't care if he can switch back 3 into outer space...he is a pussy who doesn't deserve shit.

I have read soo many here say bad things about this kid via the interenet, its hard to give him the benifit of the doubt, sounds like a peice of shit from alot of people.
As far as his skatebaording goes,he seems like a pretty good skateboarder with very limited creativity, more of a trend follower than setter.

There have been so many different versions of this story. As far as I know, straight from Nick's mouth, this particular one isn't what happened.

Also, in terms of him being a dick, foundation has advertized this. Their whole campaign around him is based off the fact that he is known for being an asshole that is constantly fucking up.

As far back as I can remember, I never said Nick was kicked off Baker for any reason other than the problems he had with particular teammates.

this is the part where the version of the story I got is different. Some kid was Nick's friend, who was the one responsible for all the drama/disrespectful destruction of property. Nick was just implicated because he was drunk and had his friend's back, pretty unaware of what the kid was responsible of.
