That's funny. I was at TNTs skate junk jam on Treasure Island yesterday. I saw TNT and his wife around the whole event. Seem like nice couple but man, just those skater parents that can be a little intimidating to say normal parents. Granted this is TNT we're talking about but they don't mind getting wasted in front of their kids. I am sure there might have been other people watching over their kids but I just couldn't help but think of the Andy Roy situation.

I was there too, and on the tour bus.
Kids can get out of control, that's just the way it is I guess.
And if you're TNT's kids, I'd imagine that be increased a bit more than normal.
I will say it seemed like most everyone was looking out for them.

Also I really liked the way the shoes fit and skated.
Seems to me they fixed the floppyness of most Vans, felt just a bit thicker in the sole than most.
I also swapped the insole out, so I would imagine that would stiffen the shoe up quite a bit more as well.

until vans replaces whatever shit compound has been in their waffle soles as of recent years with whatever good stuff nike and adidas are using, i’m pretty sure i’ve worn my last pair of vans. my wallet can’t keep up with wearing out soles in 2 weeks

they have done select collaborations with slam city skates for a little bit. just kind of paying a nod to them? dc also put out a limited version of the new jack at pro skates in halifax before the shoe was released.

Riight right, I forgot about that. I guess it makes more sense then. Does anyone know the regular release date? I have an US trip coming up in a couple of weeks and I'd be psyched if I could get them then.

While I’m not on board with all the extra puffy shoes coming back, I DO love how skate shoes are starting to get their own aesthetic back. The new Kalis joints and some of the stuff eS has been putting out is a much needed step in the right direction in terms of skate shoe design

Where/when's that from? It's hard to tell by the pictures but it kinda just looks like the Romero laced.

I just got mine in the mail today. They're out on emerica.com and Tactics right now at least. They do fit true to size and they're better than I imagined. There is no heel pull tab like the pictures online have, though, and the leather is more soft and smooth rather than textured like the photos. Actually, if you look at the special black leather colorway of the new Provost shoe in the Spring 2019 catalog, the leather on the boots looks exactly like that. Personally, I think those two last minute changes they made were for the better. The insole is great, awesome arch support, and the sole uses that same grippy tread that's on the Figgy Dose. 100% skateable if you feel like skating $120 boots. But I'm just gonna wear them cuz they look dope and are super comfortable. Looks-wise, they're a big improvement on the old Shifters. Nice and slim with that pointy toe.

Oooh nice.  I'm debating picking up a pair.  I've been loving the Reserve collection drops.  Bought the Romero His and the Templeton Desert Boot and am very happy with both of them.  It's cool to have some nice, casual shoes I can wear out when I don't want to be a complete bum, but still support people and brands I like.
