They're here. Honestly the Sabbath branding is pretty subtle. They feel a lot like a Nike Dunk High. Maybe a little less padding around the collar.

I got mine last Friday, I’m digging them. The way I look at the collab aspect of these is this. People skate in a Ben and Jerry’s Nike Dunk and don’t even think twice, and those shoes were fucking cow print.

Nah, that’s fucking cool actually. Lucien is great and he’s doing what’s pretty standard in the fashion world. If someone wants another untouched pair for resale, those level of people can get them. Lucien and Virgil signing and sending them to those people make them 1000x more valuable for people in that world.

I’m really tempted by Telfords bc I love skating dunk highs, but I hesitate simply on the fact that I don’t want to be seen wearing essentially some bootleg Dunks

I hope this isn't true as the outsoles on the pro shoes are the only ones that stay attached to the shoe. The 'OG' line have recently all changed to a more rubbery flexible sole, but it's like it has really really thin layer of rubber over canvas that peels off. I've been buying Vans for so long now and the quality (other than pros!) is at an all time low.

i think you got this twisted.

no ones hating lucien, it's just poking fun at the corny celeb endorsements. lucien is rad and the shoe isn't bad. my buddy who still rocks 2000s era dcs from his stockpile would buy them he said, and he doesn't care about fashion. wouldn't spend the money tho.

no one is hyped about the sabbath telfords, people just deal with the sabbath logo somehow and get over it. you don't win fashion battles with them, but they were/are decent shoes to skate in, especially if you like dunks and can't get em.

It's just a bit funny that some awful handwriting got plastered on those shoe boxes. There's an equally funny "Virgil" tag on some others. It reminded me of the fake graffiti font that Axion were throwing around in their reboot marketing.

I would like on the record that I wanted the telfords back but i hate the black sabbath collab and i also hate the lucien shoe. And I also hate the ben and jerrys dunk. I think I have the perfect taste in skateboard shoes

I don't think people are "foaming" over the Black Sabbath branding of the telfords. I can say personally, I'm just excited for it to be back. Dunk highs were my absolute favorite skate skate for a long time. However nike has decided they'd rather produced hypebeast bullshit rather than shoes people can actually buy (without a fucking raffle) and skate. So I'm happy I get a high top cupsole that is essentially a dunk high without having to sign up for a raffle.

As for Lucien, I don't hate what's he doing either. If someone offered you that kind of cash (I assume) and a pro shoe with high fashion brand that will most likely result in massive checks - I assume you'd take it. I would. Good for him for getting paid.

I left a comment on IG when Reynolds was skating the pros of the OG half cab and he said “coming soon” and I think that was in September. I assumed later on in 2020. But Spring 2021 shoes come out first 2 months of the year, so not too long of a wait now.

I think he did also mention that the all-black and Navy/white pairs are coming out too.

if i got a package with a louie vitton shoe box that looks like it's been tagged by a dyslexic child with my name barely written right saying i should peek deep inside i'd not only be pissed someone ruined resale value, i'd suspect something very sus and would probably book a flight just so i can run that thing through xray customs to make sure it's nothing dangerous, at which point they will find drugs in the box or in the shoes themselves and at that point i'm fucked.
