New balance has the best ads and it’s all because of jake. So a signature white/reflective 440 is well deserved. Even has his name on it.

I know there are a handful of photographers that got a shoe but I still think it’s a big deal they can get one. Big fan of his photos even though the shoe color is meh.

I don't see these posted yet but Shin Sanbongi Adidas Campus ADV. Dug his last colorway a bit more but still might cop as a shin fanboy(also that stan smith tongue with shin's face is so good lmao)

how are stan smiths these days? i had a pair maybe 10 years ago and i remember the sole being firm, but it looks like it's much softer/more flexible now? maybe i'm wrong because i also haven't tried on a pair in about as long lol

Baseline Stan Smiths are pretty soft, they're not insanely good quality either in my opinion. Adidas across the board isn't superb quality, and it's been declining for several years now.

You can literally see the lack of quality in the photo . That’s bad. What’s happening at adidas? They’re charging $100 for the most basic of shoes and yet the quality is declining heavily .

I'd say adidas is hit or miss recently. I have a pair of regular sambas I got not long ago and the quality is definitely pretty bad but I only paid like $20 at the outlet. On the other hand I have a pair of the first run of Forum adv in the white/cream colorway and they are probably the highest quality materials on any shoe I own. up there with orange label dunks and probably a little higher quality even.

Adidas quality has sucked for years. Around 2018/2019 they moved their climbing shoe production and seriously fucked it up. The models looked the same, but would delaminate, sometimes come with soles that were clearly not the same thickness, pull tabs would tear off, and the rubber compound (which is why anyone honestly bought them) wasn't the same. Complete dogshit. Their new models are no different. I've tested proto models then seen the production and it doesn't fit the same and usually has shoddy construction. Their cycling shoes are the same.

Yeah but returned them bc in the light of that launch colorway looked like 70a nurse shoes (I know a common insult - but it was actually dead on).   The heel also felt really low and would be prone to slippage if I had kept them

could always go for the ishod, aloha super, gazelle, samba, tyshawn, wayvee or whatever floats your boat. I honestly think the blondey gazelle super is one of the most comfortable shoes I've tried in a while. I've seen it around for probably fifty at a lot of places.

Very comfortable. I wear a 9.5 in Vans but had to go up to a 10 in the Puig Indoor. Insanely light weight for a vulc.

I have a pair. The cushioning is actually quite good (I think it’s the same as what they use in the b ball shoes). Materials are very tech but feel thin. Haven’t skated them but think they wouldn’t last great. Went tts.
